TheXbox 360brought forth the HD generation of consoles, beating out Sony by a year. That head start was one reason why Microsoft did so well even with a few snags here and there like the whole Red Ring of Death debacle. The Xbox One, its 2013 successor, didn’t have as easy as a start. There is a multitude of reasons why, but that’s not important here.

Throughout the years Microsoft tried to course-correct itself with one of the better things being backwards compatibility which first started in 2015 for Xbox 360 games. A lot of them are now on the Xbox store, but there are still some missing fans would like to see. As for exclusivity, that doesn’t mean these games were on Xbox 360 only. It’s just that they are trapped there.
10Alpha Protocol
Alpha Protocolis a forgotten Obsidian game that didn’t quite hit the mark with reviewers. Think of it like Metal Gear Solid mashed up withFallout: New Vegas. It has some issues, but to those that gave it a chance, it means a lot. The game cannot be purchased onXbox 360, PS3, or even Steam as the game has been delisted digitally. Since Microsoft owns Obsidian now, they may make a deal with Sega for a future port.
9The Lord of the Rings: War in the North
This game is also delisted on thePS3, Xbox 360, and Steam services. This is due to licensing agreements drying up withThe Lord of the Rings, which is a big reason why a lot of tie-in games go away. Anyway,War in the Northis a fairly simple hack and slash RPG, but the best thing about it is the three player co-op. Another game in this franchise missing is theStar Wars Battlefrontspin-off,The Lord of the Rings: Conquest.
8Max Payne 3
As big as Rockstar is, one would think their games would be available in perpetuity, but that is not true for consoles in regard toMax Payne 3. It is, however, still on Steam which is a plus for some. As great asRed Dead Redemption IIandGrand Theft Auto Vare, some Rockstar fans fantasize about them tackling smaller games like this again.Max Payne 3still holds up.
7Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3
All threeDynasty Warriors: Gundamgames are trapped on the Xbox 360 and PS3. The only thing left to “buy” on either console is a demo on Xbox 360.

There are actually a lot of games trapped from the granderDynasty Warriorsfranchise, but this game in particular stands out. It’s a great co-op excursion along with being a giant love letter to Gundam fans from the amount of mechs in the game to the cel-shading art style.
6The Saboteur
The Saboteuris an open-world game about the occupation of France during World War II. The game’s unique hook is that is presented in black and white. Once an area is liberated, color will return to the world. It’s a chaos simulator and a bit janky around the edges, but fun nonetheless. The game is unavailable digitally on PS3 and Xbox 360, but it is still available onEA Originfor PC players.
5Singularity
Singularityis still available on the Xbox 360, but it is not backward compatible on Xbox One. Now, this is one of Raven Software’s last original games before they got absorbed into theCall of Dutymachine. LikeThe Saboteur, it presents an alternate take on history with Russia coming to power and the only way to stop it is through time travel. Not only that but players can manipulate time like restoring a broken staircase to its former glory.
4Culdcept Saga
Culdcept Sagais an Xbox 360 exclusive. The only thing left to “buy” is a demo on the Xbox 360. The game itself is a Card RPG, but one mashed up withMonopoly. In either the single-player campaign mode, or multiplayer, players are presented on a board. Pass through empty spots, claim them with monsters, and collect as much money as possible in order to win the game. It can get a bit lengthy likeMonopoly, but this obscure Xbox 360 gem means a lot to its fans.
350 Cent: Blood on the Sand
50 Cent: Blood on the Sandis kind of a joke entry. It has some issues and wasn’t received completely positively, but weird games like this, good or bad, need to be preserved.

The very idea of 50 Cent and the G-Unit fighting terrorists in the Middle East to get back a crystal skull should be enough incentive to track this game down physically as it is nowhere to be found online. It is a crazy treat.
2Dance Central
When theXbox Onelaunched with the Kinectperipheral, it came with access toDance Central Spotlight. The idea of this was to have it be a greatest hits collection of the previous three Xbox 360 games and would release old and new songs as DLC digitally. Well, now that the Kinect is hard to get, gettingDance Central Spotlightcan be tricky. Microsoft discontinuing the Kinect also means they can’t bring back the original trilogy as backwards compatible games. That is unless they re-release the camera for the Xbox Series X.
1Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game
Like other games, this game based on the Scott Pilgrim movie has been delisted on PS3 andXbox 360stores. It is a miracle for not only being a good tie-in game, but one of the best playing, and looking, brawlers of the modern generation. If any of these games needs to come back it’s this one as it is was only ever released digitally, making it impossible to track down now.
