Ever since its release in November 2021,Battlefield 2042players have uncovered countless bugs and design issues with the game. However, sometimes the bugs cross the line from annoying to completely absurd, as one player shows.

Battlefield 2042is the latest entry in the long-runningBattlefieldseries from EA and DICE, and unfortunately it has yet to live up to the expectations its predecessors set. Ever since launch, players have complained of numerous bugs, connection issues, and missing features from previous entries.

A video captured by Redditor CoconutCream311 shows a light vehicle drive off a very small ramp, but its rolling takes it high into the sky. It manages to ascend high enough to clear an entire grounded warship before finally landing on the other side. The comments contain about equal measure of angry playersfrustrated with the state ofBattlefield 2042and others making light of the absurd occurrence.

TheBattlefieldseries generally tries to stay semi-grounded in believability, so naturally, a ground vehicle flying off into the sky would be immersion-breaking. Still, much likeBattlefield 2042’s repairing penguins bugfrom last year, the comedy of the situation makes it difficult to be frustrated by. From how the vehicle shoots upward into the air while facing up, it looks like the gravity is pulling on the vehicle in the direction the bottom faces rather than down toward the ground like it should. The issue is theoretically exploitable, so it is likely that a fix is coming.

Still, the comedy is not enough to saveBattlefield 2042from currentlyperforming worse than its predecessors on Steam, withBattlefield 4, Battlefield 1,andBattlefield 5all performing better than the most recent entry. The design changes, ongoing issues, and big update delays alongside other various problems could all be to blame, but most of all the rough launch gave the game a bad reputation that EA and DICE have yet to turn around. The possibility for a comeback remains, but every dayBattlefield 2042loses even more players to its competition and its previous franchise entries.

While someBattlefield 2042playersmay be bothered by all the issues, at least not all the bugs are game-breaking. There still remain enough major issues to be a problem for new players, but those who have gotten used to the problems and stuck with the game to upload clips of what goes wrong are appreciated; not only are they bringing more attention to the issues so DICE can fix them, but they also provide entertainment for fans watching from the sidelines.

Battlefield 2042is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
