Atomic Heartis the highly anticipated first-person shooter developed by Mundfish. The game takes place in a retro-futuristic USSR that won World War 2. Players take control of Major Comrade Sergei Nechaev(codenamed P-3) as he fights off a robotic revolution taking place in Facility 3826.Atomic Heartcombines shooting and melee combat in gameplay thatharkens back toBioshock/System Shock.

There is also exploration and many types of puzzles to be solved throughout Facility 3826. Some of these puzzles involve the various types of locks present throughout the game. This guide will explain each type of lock and how to open them.

Standard Locks

The lockpicking mechanic on these normal locks will befamiliar to players of Falloutor Skyrim.

The keyhole needs to turncompletely horizontalso adjust until it can turn all the way to open the lock.

Combination Locks

These locks will requirethe player to find acombination. They will usually be found in the same area as the lock itself so check nearby locations. Look on desks and walls for combinations written on pieces of paper or signs.

Pay attention to thefour quadrantsandpatternsof the combinations. The lights have to be turned on in thecorrect sequenceand thecorrect quadranton the lock’s face.

Snap Locks

Certain locks require the playerto snap with precise to timing to lights on each pin.

The timer on the lock will reset all the pins if time runs out. Pay close attention as snapping when the light is on a closed pin will extend it once again.

Color Locks

To open these locks the correct colors need to be lined up with the corresponding pins.

Certain locks will requirean actual keythat P-3 will refer to playfully as a “cookie.”

The cookies should be in the general vicinity of the lock. Keep an eye out in the offices of Facility 3826 for them.
