From improved visuals to new content, there’s always something fresh for gamers to download to enhance theirBaldur’s Gate 3experience. There was even oneBaldur’s Gate 3mod that turned it into a roguelike game, showing how the core gameplay of Larian’s title even works in a totally different genre.
The mod, simply titled “Darts,” is available onNexus Modsfrom user Aetherpoint. It adds in a dart weapon that was originally cut by Larian, allowing players another unique way to engage inranged combat inBaldur’s Gate 3. Aetherpoint has even added an additional returning dart titled D’artagan, putting their own twist on Larian’s cut content. While only a small mod, “Darts” is an immersive addition to the world ofBaldur’s Gate 3, and any PC player should give it a try.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Mod Restores Darts Cut Content
SinceBaldur’s Gate 3’s release last year, players have become fascinated by the pieces of content that were eventually cut from the game. While Larian hasn’t been upfront about everything, interviews given by individuals since its launch have given small nuggets of information about things that didn’t quite make it intoBaldur’s Gate 3. It was even revealed thatBaldur’s Gate 3almost returned to a classic franchise location, which would have been interesting for series veterans. Although it isn’t clear how far along most pieces of cut content were, hopefully, the modding community can restore a lot of it over the coming months and years.
In September, Larian is set to releasePatch 7 forBaldur’s Gate 3. This is significant for one major reason. Patch 7 is set to finally see the release of officialBaldur’s Gate 3modding tools, which will expand the capabilities of what the community is able to create. Frankly, it’s amazing that fans have been able to create such fantastic mods without these tools so far, so it’ll be exciting to see what comes of their release. Even if Larian is largely done withBaldur’s Gate 3, there’s no doubt that the modding community will keep it alive for many years to come.
