BioWare gave an update on Twitter today forDragon Age 4, stating that development is still underway though it is all happening remotely.
Mark Darrah, the executive producer of BioWare, made a tweet today stating that development for the upcomingDragon Agegame is well underway. He did also mention that the development team is working from home, and it is causing development to be quite a bit more difficult. Fans responded very positively to Darrah’s tweet, stating that they do not want the company to rush, and are happy with them taking their time. The game has already beenconfirmed to be coming to the PlayStation 5, with other platforms very likely.

Back in 2018, Bioware announced thatDragon Age 4’s development was getting delayed internallydue to internal reconstruction. The company has seen better days, with its two most recent titles,Mass Effect AndromedaandAnthem, being generally critical flops.
A recent survey showed that athird of all game developers have had game developments affected by the coronavirus pandemic. It’s not hard to see why this has become the case, with many workers socially distancing themselves and unable to work together in a regular work environment. Though it’s unfortunate that the newDragon Agetitle is taking longer than usual, it is good to know that BioWare is taking regular precautions in order to keep its development team healthy and safe.
Dragon Agehasn’t seen a new installment since 2014’sDragon Age Inquisition,which was received very well by both fans and critics alike. With the company’s last couple of games, besidesInquisition,generally looked upon as being poorer in quality, it’s perhaps a good thing that BioWare is taking its time withDragon Age’s next installment.
It has been heavily rumored for that the originalMass Effecttrilogy is getting the HD Remaster treatment, with many rumors floating around about the title. With BioWare’s future titles still a long way away, this remaster would surely help distract fans a bit, if it’s true. It has been rumored that the title will get a release sometime later this year, which seems like perfect timing for the franchise.
