IsThe Bob’s Burgers Moviebetter thanThe Simpsons Movie? Perhaps, but that’s not important now. History is the thing that should be considered now. Did this film make enough callbacks tocharacters like Linda, Bob, the kids, and many others? It’s time to look back at some of the best callback jokes inThe Bob’s Burgers Movie.
7Tina’s Fantasies
Tina has been fantasizing about boys since the beginning ofBob’s Burgers. The opening fantasy inThe Bob’s Burgers Moviesees Tina riding a horse with Jimmy Pesto Jr. Those are two things she loves. However, her more awkwardlove for zombiesalso makes an appearance in the fantasy. Her affection for zombies comes about in just the second episode of the series, “Crawl Space.” Tina is trying to figure out her kinks after having some weird dreams in that episode.
6The Itty Bitty Ditty Committee
The Itty Bitty Ditty Committee first appeared in the self-titled episode, “Itty Bitty Ditty Committee” from Season 5. Gene has always beeninterested in musicbut this was the first episode where he tried to form a band with some of his school friends like Rudy.

The theme song “Burgers and Fries” gets played and replayed throughout the episode. InThe Bob’s Burgers Movie, Gene wants to reform the band to play at the wharf’s anniversary event. All Gene needs to do is convince Mr. Fischoeder that his crew has what it takes.
5Louise’s Animals
Louise’s love of stuffed animals has been a theme throughout the series justlike Tina’s obsessionwith boys. She calls them collectibles because they are Japanese and also Louise doesn’t want to sound like a kid. Kuchi Kopi is her favorite.
She has a meltdown in the Season 7 episode “Flu-ouise” wherein her family melts the Kuchi Kopi. This causes Louise to have a fever dream wherein she meets bigger versions of her animals. This fantasy-like sequence returns in an early scene inThe Bob’s Burgers Movie.

4Mickey And The Carnies
Mickey first appeared in “Bob Day Afternoon,” which was in Season 2. Mickey was trying to rob a place and then stumbled onto Bob. He wanted to turn Mickey in but his family, having a heart of gold, convinced Bob to let Mickey hide from the law for just a bit. He returns throughout the series occasionally having been reformed in prison. He’s now a Carny down at the wharf.
Mickey returns briefly inThe Bob’s Burgers Moviewhen the kids need to ask the Carnies some questions. Unfortunately, his original voice actor, Bill Hader, does not reprise the role.

3The One-Eyed Snakes
The One-Eyed Snakes are a gang that has returned a few times in the series. They first appeared in “Ear-sy Rider” which was in Season 3. The One-Eyed Snakes attend a funeral at Mort’s and then head to Bob’s Burgers afterward. They trash the place but reward Bob with a favor.Louise decides tocash that favor in to get the gang to terrorize Logan. Earlier in the episode, Logan steals her beloved ears and will not give them back.
The ears are a central theme inThe Bob’s Burgers Movieso that is a callback within itself. The gang only makes a brief cameo when Sergeant Bosco is looking into a case of stolen karaoke machines. The detective is on the gang’s trail when the three kids interrupt his stakeout.

2Fanny
Fanny is another character that isn’t inThe Bob’s Burgers Moviefor long. However, her inclusion is huge considering what themovie’s central mysteryis about. Fanny first appeared in “Wharf Horse,” which was Season 4’s two-part finale.

Felix meets Fanny and promised to build her a music studio if his brother, Calvin, decides to sell. When Calvin refuses, Fanny tries to kill him and the Belchers so that Felix can have his way. She has been in jail ever since. However, she’s out now as of the timing of the movie. Fanny is ready to escape with Felix and Calvin on their run from the cops, which is a bit ironic.
1Little King Trashmouth
Raccoons have been another big part of this series. They were mentioned a few times but the mainstay, Little King Trashmouth, was not seen until the Season 4 episode, “Slumber Party.” It’s unsurprisingly about a slumber party wherein some raccoon fighting gets thrown into the b-plot.After Teddy escapesthe Carnies at the wharf inThe Bob’s Burgers Movie, he goes down Bob’s alleyway.
His burger mobile then breaks and Little King Trashmouth appears behind some dumpsters and starts going to town on the remains. He’s the only raccoon from his gang to make it into the movie. That’s a little disappointing but the movie was already jam-packed full of characters and references. How could it squeeze in more raccoons for a one-off, adorable joke like this?
