Summary
Kawaki is one of the main charactersinBoruto. Although he wasn’t a part of the original cast in Konoha from the very beginning, Kawaki soon appeared when the evil organization of Kara started making their moves. Soon enough, he was taken in by Konoha and he ended up becoming a part of the main cast. As a member of the Team 7, it was expected of Kawaki to be extremely strong and he has certainly delivered upon that end.

Currently, he is one of the strongest ninjas in the world ofBorutoand it goes without saying that he will continue to grow in the future of the series as well. Among the many powers that Kawaki possesses is also a Kekkei Genkai ability that he manifests in his left eye. This Kekkei Genkai is extremely overpowered and certainly one of the strongest that fans have seen in the entire series.
How Kawaki Attained The Kekkei Genkai
Kekkei Genkai are abilities that a particular individual is born within the world ofNaruto. These are techniques that cannot be created out of nowhere. They are unique to a certain bloodline or, at times, can even manifest in individual characters upon birth. Either way, these are not techniques that can be manifested randomly among characters. Kawaki was certainly not born with one of these abilities and, as such, for him to have one Kekkei Genkai is certainly an anomaly. However, when one takes into consideration the life that he has led, it becomes easier to understand why he has this power right now.
Kawaki was bought by Isshiki at a very young age and trained in order to be his next vessel. This meant that Isshiki’s Karma was transferred to Kawaki and eventually, he would be the host inside which he would be reborn. To do that, Isshiki would need to extract his entire data inside Kawaki and that is precisely what the Karma seal was for. Slowly but steadily,the Karma seal extracted every bit of DNAof Isshiki inside Kawaki’s body. As soon as that happened, he gained access to his abilities and would then have to master these powers. Even though Kawaki got rid of the Karma at one point, he manifested it once again as a weapon because he wanted to protect Naruto. This gave him access to all of Isshiki’s powers and, given that the extraction was almost complete at this point, Kawaki became like the second coming of Isshiki himself.
The Power Of Sukunahikona
With all the powers of Isshiki inside his body, it was a given that he would be able to manifest all of his abilities. This also meant that Isshiki’s Kekkei Genkai, which he manifested in his right eye, was now accessible to Kawaki as well. Curiously enough, in Kawaki’s case, this Kekkei Genkai manifested itself in the left eye instead. Why that is the case is something that fans do not know at the moment, however, it might be explained in the future of the story. Regardless, which eye the visual ability manifested in doesn’t make much of a difference as all the powers that it possesses are the same. The very first ability that this eye has which fans saw Isshiki use extensively is called Sukunahikona.

This ability allows Isshiki to shrink himself as well as any inanimate object to microscopic sizes instantaneously. He can also resize them back to normal sizes within the blink of an eye. These objects can be shrunk to such a point that their presence becomes absolutely impossible to discern. When he shrinks himself, his own chakra becomes almost untraceable, even to users of Six Paths powers.Kawaki has access to this skill as welland he has already used it on multiple occasions. He can also manifest the chakra rods that Isshiki manifested at will and shrink anything, including himself, down to microscope exercises within the blink of an eye.
The Power Of Daikokuten
Kawaki’s left eye also gives him mastery of another visual technique, called Daikokuten. This technique is absolutely incredible and it gives him access to a dimension where time does not flow at all. Inside this dimension, he can store absolutely anything that he wishes.
These can be things such as the chakra rods or even humans. The first time this ability debuted was through Jigen, and he was seen storing things such as wine glasses inside and summoning them at a later point in time.
Kawaki has used this power extensivelyin the series already. In fact, he has used this power on Naruto and Hinata already. Moments before he made his mind up to kill Boruto, he went to his foster parents and decided to seal them both away inside this pocket dimension of Daikokuten. Since time does not flow inside the dimension of Daikokuten, Naruto and Hinata would not age even a single second or feel hunger or thirst. The power of this pocket dimension goes beyond just storing things and there are powerful objects inside that can also be summoned from this dimension. These are giant metallic cubes that possess tremendous weight. By the looks of it, there is an infinite amount of these cubes inside this dimension and they can be summoned out anytime, and using Sukunahikona, shrunk down or brought to the real sizes instantaneously to crush the enemies.
Kawaki’s Mastery Of The Kekkei Genkai
Kawaki received this eye as soon as he manifestedthe power of the Karma once again. Initially, he did not have full control over this Kekkei Genkai. However, with time, his control over these powers has only increased. Before the 3-year timeskip, fans got to see Kawaki manifest up to five of the wheel spokes inside his eye. This meant that the control that he possessed over this eye had not yet reached its maximum potential. There was still some maturation left for him to undergo to gain full control over this eye. However, with time, this control has only increased and Kawaki has now gained full control over this Kekkei Genkai.
After the 3-year timeskip, Kawaki’s control over this eye has reached incredible levels. He can now manifest all eight wheel spokes of the Dharma inside his eye and this goes to show that he now has just as much control over this eye as Isshiki once did. InBorutoPart 2 chapter 1, he was even seen entering the dimension of Daikokuten at will, and this is something that even Isshiki has not done before. Fans can only expect great things from Kawaki in the future of the story as he continues to evolve this eye even further. His Kekkei Genkai is incredibly powerful and likely strong enough to match Boruto Uzumaki’s Jogan.
