In the next episode of their web series, Korean pop idols BTS will be playingFall Guys: Ultimate Knockoutalong with Korean esports team T1.
As a way of connecting with and offering more content to its fans, BTS hosts an online variety show known asRun BTS!A comedic behind-the-scenes of sorts,Runtasks the members of the hit Korean boy band to go against each other in fun challenges and quirky activities. The show goes on even when BTS is busy touring the world in concert series and the production team will often use their new locations as elements in the lighthearted games.

In the November 3rd episode ofRun BTS,the band met the Korean esports team known as T1 that would be playing alongside them in the new competitive video game series called “League of No. 1.” After starting with name-learning games and the Korean version of “Rock, Paper, Scissors” on episode 114 of the web series, T1, known for their successful placement inLeague of LegendsChampionships, will be playingFall Guys: Ultimate Knockoutalongside BTS in episode 115.
Episode 115 ofRun BTSwill release on November 10th and can be watched on the apps Weverse of VLIVE, platforms that Korean pop artists often use to connect with their fans through videos and livestreams. For avid followers of theLeague of Legendsteam, they can also use these apps to watchBTS hilariously play the MOBA game with T1in episode 114.
It’s not often to see BTS playing video games as their activity onRun, but recently, the Korean artist played the oldGang Beasts. It must have been practice to go up against the professional esports team because the next episode ofRun BTSwill have them playing the silly multiplayer fighting game again, sometime before or after they participate in somechaotic rounds ofFall Guys.
While the group has limited free time due to their hectic schedules as international pop idols, some members of BTS are avid gamers. Jin, the oldest member of the group, enjoys playing online games likeLeagueandMapleStory,especially with his fans. And Jungkook, the youngest member, has been knownto avidly playOverwatchin his downtime.
Some fans are speculating if this is a publicity stunt to get more people back on theFall Guyshype train, similar to the fan reaction that BTS saw when the kpop group premiered thechoreography version of the “Dynamite” music video onFortnite. Though that was seen as an odd mix, BTS fans (known as ARMY) are excited to see the seven band members play the fun and sillyFall Guysnext week.
