Across all theCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold WarSeasons, players have seenCall of Duty: Black Ops 2maps added to the game. According to a well-known leaker, this will not be changing next Season, asCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warcould be bringing back two more maps from the 2012 game.
Alongside a remake of Nuketown that sees the location vandalized, there have been fourBlack Ops 2remakes added thus far. Players were able to fight through Raid in Season 1, while the midseason update delivering Express. In Season 3, Standoff returned, with the popular map also making a cameo as aCall of Duty: WarzoneGulag. Season 4’s Hijacked has done the same, and the midseason update will add to theBlack Ops 2lineup by bringing back Rush. However, Rush will likely not be the last map to return.

According to @TheMW2Ghost, the source behindthe recent London Docks leakand several other map leaks, Yemen and Plaza could be returning. In Yemen, players fight through a close quarters city surrounded by water. With tons of different buildings and an interesting layout, the map proved popular in objective-based modes. As for Plaza, while its design is entirely different from Miami, its neon lights and nighttime setting give it a familiar aesthetic. With a dance floor and some great vantage points, this map has been remembered fondly by fans.
It is important to note that @TheMW2Ghost is not certain that both maps will be coming toCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warnext Season. While the leaker does seem sure that both will come to the game eventually, their use of “and/or” suggests that one could be held until Season 6. Still, there is a chance that both do come in Season 5, with one dropping at the start of the Season and another coming in Season 5 Reloaded. This would mirror Season 4’sCall of Duty: Black Ops 2remakes perfectly, asthe Hijacked mapkicked off the Season while Rush is being saved for later.
It will be interesting to see how fans take to the news that even more remakes could be incoming. While a large number of players do love to see old maps return, flocking to the playlists as soon as they go live, some would prefer original content instead. Alongside some players wanting to see more new maps, others may just be burnt out onCall of Duty: Black Ops 2mapsspecifically.
For now, it seems likeCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warfanscan prepare for Yemen and Plaza next Season. While this may not be exciting for everyCall of Dutyfan, at least those that loved the secondBlack Opsshould be ecstatic.
