Call of Duty: Modern Warfarereceives new updates on a weekly basis. Some of these updates are mere playlist updates that basically happen in the background, but otherModern Warfareupdates require a larger download. TheCall of Duty: Modern WarfareApril 28 update will be the latter, so fans of the game should anticipate a download before they can jump into the action tomorrow.
TheCall of Duty: Modern WarfareApril 28 updatewill be about 15GB on PS4 and Xbox One. Infinity Ward’s post about the update doesn’t include the file size for the PC version for some reason, but in any case, downloading the update will just be the first step in the process. Upon downloading the update,Call of Duty: Modern Warfareplayers will then be brought to the game install menu when trying to start any of the game modes. At that point, they will be prompted to download Data Pack 1. Once that’s downloaded,Modern Warfareplayers will have to reset their game before they can start playing multiplayer.

As far asCall of Duty: Modern Warfareupdates go, the April 28 update seems rather significant, asInfinity Wardrarely provides patch notes in advance. However, Infinity Ward has so far focused on the bug fixes that will be coming in the update as opposed to new content. It stated that these bug fixes are just a “sample” of what fans can expect from the new update, so it will be interesting to see what else it includes.
Most of the bug fixes and changes coming in the newCall of Duty: Modern WarfareApril 28 update focus on the standardModern Warfaregame, but a significant change for theWarzonebattle royaleis included as well. With this new update, Infinity Ward will be adjusting the speed and sizing of the circle inWarzone, which could turn out to be a major change depending on how it’s implemented.
More information about the nextCall of Duty: Modern Warfareupdate should become available once the update is live. It will be interesting to see if the update adds therumored M249 SAW weaponto the game, or maybe add some of the Season 3 multiplayer maps that still have yet to be released.
