A number of leaks, including some from inside the game itself, have more or less confirmed thatCall of Duty: Modern Warfare’s battle royale mode is well on the way. The mode,leaked to be titled Warzone, is reportedly set to include a massive 200 player count, and as such, its map will apparently be similarly massive to house all these players in one match.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfareleaker ModernWarzone has tweeted an image of theBlack Ops 4Blackout map scaled for comparison with the Warzone map. Assuming the information is accurate, it appears as though theModern WarfareWarzone map is going to be at least 3-4x the size of Blackout. With theModern Warfarebattle royale player count rumored to be a whopping 200 players, it makes sense for the Warzone map to be much larger.

Luckily, fans shouldn’t have to wait too much longer to get their first proper look at theCall of Duty: Modern WarfareWarzone map. Infinity Ward itself has teased the mode’s existence, and some players have even managed toglitch into the Warzone matches. It seems like a proper release for the mode is imminent, though whether it will come by the end of this month, next month, or even farther out remains to be seen.
The latest information points to theModern WarfareWarzone release date being early March, though that hasn’t been confirmed by Activision or Infinity Ward. Fans should be sure to keep their expectations in check, as it’s possible that the wait for theModern Warfarebattle royale modewill be longer than expected.
