Call of Duty: VanguardZombies has had a rough start to say the least, and it seems like Treyarch will be continuing to hear complaints throughout the holiday season. In particular,Call of Duty: Vanguardfans are angry that Zombies got almost no love with the Festive Fervor update.

There are a few reasons for the complaints, with the first being that otherFestive FervorCall of Dutycontenthas been far more extensive. InCall of Duty: Vanguardmultiplayer, gamers that do not complete the objective will be hunted down by Krampus, an NPC enemy. They can also find and shoot Elf Team Six, getting free kills toward their streak. InCall of Duty: Warzone, Krampus is also available, as are trees with presents that contain special loot. All of this is in addition to event challenges and special bundles in the store.

Zombies fans, however, have almost nothing to be excited about. Sadly, the only thing to see is a holiday-themed makeover for theDer Anfang hub area. This was pointed out by Redditor Dapper-Geologist-468, who specified that the entirety of Stalingrad is not even customized. Instead, the only part of the map to get some trees and lights is the main area with the Pack-A-Punch machine, mystery box, and crafting table. Unsurprisingly, the commenters were not pleased with this fan’s discovery - though they do point out a few more touches.

While most agree that the latestCall of Duty: VanguardZombies’ contentis disappointing, Redditor Francorportillol clarifies that the Stormkriegers wear Santa hats as well. Further, the Boomschreiers have Christmas lights wrapped around them, ensuring that there is a little bit of depth to the Festive Fervor update. Still, it is understandably disappointing for many, as gamers were hoping that the content would be more extensive like what was seen inCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold WarZombies.

Alongside Santa hats for Megatons and every zombie, as well as reindeer makeovers for the Plaguehounds, a special limited time mode calledJingle Hellswas added. This playlist saw Zombies dropping special presents if hit with some snowballs, with everything from free equipment to stronger weapons able to be acquired. Die Maschine also saw snowmen scattered across the map, with Zombies breaking out of them when players come close. Alongside the many unique gameplay mechanics, a fun easter egg saw a Megaton flying through the sky on a sleigh with Plaguehounds used as reindeer.

Clearly,Call of DutyZombies fanshave a few reasons to be upset, as the mode is a letdown when compared to past content and the current content in other games. Hopefully, future updates are more satisfying for those that are disappointed.

Call of Duty: Vanguardis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
