A new video gives an overview of discussions held between some popularCall of Duty: Warzone 2content creators and developers Infinity Ward and Raven Software prior to the launch of Season 2, and hints at the possibility of changes to the game’s TTK. Even asWarzone 2continues to receive decidedly mixed reviews from many players, recent leaks hint at the possible arrival of anew mainlineCall of Dutygame in 2023.

Released for PC and consoles in late 2022, Infinity Ward and Raven Software’s free-to-play Battle Royale sequelCall of Duty: Warzone 2has had a tumultuous first few months of existence due to a myriad of technical issues and unpopular gameplay decisions. Player complaints about the shooter ranged from anger over the switch to a 2v2 mode for Gulag fights, a change later reversed with the return of 1v1 in Season 2, to the move away from the popular Caldera map. One of the biggest points of contention for many fans of the original game has beenWarzone 2’s fast TTK, or time-to-kill, which some players feel leans too heavily in favor of casual gamers.

In a new video shared to YouTube,Call of Dutycontent creator WhosImmortal gave viewers an overview of talks he had withWarzone 2developers Infinity Ward and Raven Software ahead of the launch of the game’s second season. One major topic of discussion at this meeting was the fast TTK inWarzone 2, with WhosImmortal stating that the developers were well aware of the complaints from some gamers about the speed with which players can take down opponents. According to the video, Infinity Ward and Raven Software feel that the current TTK is at a good place right now, but added that it is not set in stone.

While some players of the free-to-play shooter may be excited to hear that changes to the game’s TTK aren’t out of the question, the video elaborates that any potential changes would have to be considered against the enjoyment of the overall player base. Although gamers who take part inCall of Duty: Warzone 2tournamentsand other high-level play are some of the fiercest proponents of an increased TTK, the developers point out that this would have a disproportionately negative impact onWarzone 2’s predominantly casual player base. So, while TTK changes are on the table, they’re unlikely to be as drastic as some players would prefer.

Like many issues surroundingCall of Duty: Warzone 2, complaints about the game’s TTK aren’t likely to go away any time soon. At least players frustrated by the low TTK now have the option to calm their nerves byfeeding the sea lion on Ashika Island.
