In a game likeCall of Duty: Warzoneaccuracy is paramount to survival. If a player can not hit their shots, there is a high chance that they will be seeing the Gulag very soon. While sometimes the player is at error with missed shots, this time it appears thatWarzonehas developed another strange bug.
This bug caused a small tweak to the player’s aiming ability that turns it from annoying to almost game-breaking. While it is already difficult tohit longshots inCall of Duty: Warzone,if this bug developed mid-game, it would be nearly impossible. While it is unknown exactly what caused the problem, this player handled it better than most probably would.

The clip posted by pnokmn starts with him sprinting up the stairs in amatch ofWarzone.Upon reaching the roof, he turns right to confront a nearby enemy. While the sights of his weapon are clearly locked onto the target, his bullets can be seen firing into the wall slightly to the left of the enemy player. There is a clear divide between where the bullets should be going and where they are actually impacting. Out of panic and frustration, pnkomn switched guns mid-fight and fired with his secondary. It is unclear if the secondary weapon is affected, but his main rifle was most definitely acting bizarre.
Players in the comments made jokes about adjusting his sights in the pre-game lobby, but they have no idea what would cause this bug. While this issue has appeared previously, it was exclusively revolving aroundtheCall of Duty: WarzoneGrauand was quickly repaired before it hit mainstream notice.
The first answer that many fans have is lag.Call of Duty:Warzone server delayversus where the player’s client account thinks the gun is could cause a slight deviation in firing lines. While this is a plausible solution, there was no sign of lag in the clip and the enemy player seemed unaffected.
While this bug seems rare, it is not something that would be unplayable. With a little adjustment in aiming, players could still hit their targets if needed. Console players would need to disableCall of Duty: Warzone’saim-assist, but otherwise, this could be played around. The other obvious answer is finding a new weapon. It may just be that specific gun rather than the player’s model itself, meaning that other weapons would be unaffected.
Rather than experimenting or adapting, pnokmn abandoned his team, a fact that was not missed by players in the comments. While the bug is unfortunate, many players believe that abandoning a squad mid-match is a worse offense.
Call of Duty: Warzoneis available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
