In a battle royale game likeCall of Duty: Warzone, players need to find the best way to take out their opponents before theencroaching out-of-bounds circlekills them instead. OneWarzonefan who goes by ssieK on Reddit may have proven that one particular weapon type helps accomplish this goal much more efficiently than others.
Yesterday ssieK uploaded a minute-long video to the r/CODWarzone showing the tense final stretch of theirWarzonematch sarcastically proclaiming “these revolvers are not broken at all.” It follows ssieK as he runs into a building, picks up a revolver with a laser sight and the Akimbo perk that allows for dual-wielding weapons, and then proceeds to mow down nearly 10 other players to achieve victory. Most of those opponents are downed by a single pair of shots from each revolver.

Weapons with the Akimbo perk applied have proven troublesome forCall of Duty: Warzoneplayers before. A few weeks ago aglitch allowing for essentially unlimited ammowas discovered when using dual-wielding pistols because lost bullets in the secondary gun added by the perk did not appear to register when players picked up new weapons. However, ssieK proves that Akimbo weapons can be dangerous even without this ammo glitch.
Glitches, bugs, and exploits have been a significant problem inWarzone’s relatively short lifespan, so much so thatActivision and Infinity Ward have taken measures to stem cheating. While the game has boasted over 50 million player counts since April began, waves of bans have hit tens of thousands of users all at once.
However, just as prevalent in the game are truly impressive feats of skill and/or luck as seen by players like ssieK. Another video uploaded to Reddit last week shows a pair of players riding a similarly long killstreak into a victory thanks to theduo’s ability to share a riot shieldand use it as a true mobile cover.
Activision clearly hopes the new battle royale title’s popularity will carry on for some time to come. During its weeklyCall of DutyBriefing, the company confirmed that anew type of “most wanted” contractwill one of the multiple pieces of content being added intoCall of Duty: Warzoneas part of what seems like a continual drip feed of new goodies to play with.
