A side-by-side comparison video showcasing the recently announcedCrysisRemastered Trilogyhas blown fans of the Xbox 360/PS3 era first-person shooter away. The comparison highlights the changes made for the upcoming remastered trilogy by showing the original versions of the games running on the Xbox 360 next to the remastered versions running on the Xbox Series X.
Posted to the officialCrysisYouTube channel, whichinitially announced theCrysis Remastered Trilogyearlier this summer, the video provides a stark comparison between the power of the Xbox 360 and the Xbox Series X.

The differences between the game running on the 360 and Series X are made immediately clear in the trailer as textures are clearer, environments are nicer, and Crytek says that fans can expect it to run up to 6o FPS. Reflections also seem to be greatly improved for the trilogy, particularly with theremastered versions ofCrysis 2and3.
TheCrysisseries has always been known for its impressive graphicalfidelity and often served as something of a rite of passage to prove a PC’s processing power as it was a technically demanding title at the time of its release. It’s been able to run on consoles since it received a port in 2011, but now the entire series seems to be looking its best on the Xbox Series X.
The updates to the games' graphics can perhaps best be seen in the handful of missions throughout the series that take place during the night. The updated visuals provide much more clarity compared to the original versions making for a much better experience overall. The side-by-side comparison does show just how wellthe originalCrysistrilogy still holdsup today in terms of visuals. While lacking some of the modern touches that are expected in today’s AAA releases, each game still seems to look pretty good for titles that came out of the 360/PS3 era.
For fans who already own the firstCrysis Remastered, Crytek clarified in a blog post that each game inCrysis Remastered Trilogycan be bought separately so as to not require fans to purchase the first game again. The remastered trilogy is set to release for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, butonly Xbox consoles are mentioned in the side-by-side comparison video. The video makes it clear that next-generation consoles, specifically the Xbox Series X, will support the game in a way that provides the bestCrysisexperience.
