Summary
Destiny 2releases its newest exotic mission called Starcrossed, leading players to a brand-new combat bow called Wish-Keeper. Exotic missions have become a big hit withDestiny 2players over the years, though due to the time and resources needed for development, Bungie isn’t able to offer them often. While typically tied to specific seasons,Bungie has added an Exotic Mission Rotator feature toDestiny 2to give players who may have missed certain missions in the past another chance to check them out. For now, missions rotate between Operation Seraph Shield, Vox Obscura, and Presage, but Bungie has teased that additional missions could be added down the road.
With the start of Season of the Wish, players got a small tease of another exotic mission coming toDestiny 2, though details at the time were scarce. Known as Starcrossed, Bungie confirmed in a blog post that players will be running through the Dreaming City and the Black Garden to reclaim a weapon of great power. Ultimately, that weapon is the Wish-Keeper exotic bow, which seems to adhere to a specific theme with another exotic Dreaming City bow known as the Wish Ender. Either way, theDestiny 2weekly resethas finally launched Starcrossed, giving fans an opportunity to dive in.

New details finally arrived for Starcrossed, including a short trailer showcasing a bit of gameplay. As expected, players head back to the Black Garden, a location used at the end of the first game, as well in certain activities inDestiny 2,like the Garden of Salvation raid. The bow itself uses a Strand Arrow to not only pierce enemies, but it creates a trap as well. Through the Snareweaver perk, a special arrow can be hipfired and upon landing on the ground, it creates a pattern that suspends nearby enemies. Once suspended, the Wish-Keeper does bonus damage to that enemy with faster-draw times as well.
Is Wish-Keeper Craftable?
However, Wish-Keeper follows a similar pattern to another exotic weapon, Revision Zero. Bungie has confirmed that, similar to theexotic mission Operation Seraph Shield, players will be running Starcrossed multiple times through a number of weeks in order to earn different intrinsic abilities for Wish-Keeper. Players can then visit Mars to craft new and different versions of Wish-Keeper to better fit their play style.
Wish-keeper joins a new selection of other exotics released alongside Season of the Wish, like Briarbinds, Buried Bloodline, Mothkeeper’s Wraps, and more. Similar to other exotic missions, matchmaking isn’t enabled by default, but there is another option for players who don’t want to run through it solo.Bungie introduced a new Fireteam Finder feature inDestiny 2this season, bringing a “Looking For Group” matchmaking option into the game, so players no longer have to organize over third party sites or even the app. After selecting the mission from the Director, a LFG option can be found in the Fireteam section of the screen.
