After months of speculation, leaks, and rumors, Bungie finally revealed its plans for its hit shooter,Destiny 2. Coming later this fall is the newest expansion called Beyond Light, which takes players to Europa to battle the Darkness infused Fallen. Bungie also made is quite clear that itwon’t be making sequelsand will instead continue to build and evolveDestiny 2, showcasing two additional expansions set for 2021 and 2022 respectively.
As expected, this year’s expansion follows a similar suit to what Bungie didlast year with theShadowkeepexpansion. This year, there’s even more options for players covering all sorts of ground from collector’s items, digital goodies, and more. Destiny 2: Beyond Light Pre-order Bonuses
This year, Bungie isn’t handing out any weapons unfortunately. However, for those who opt-in to pre-ordering the game prior to its September 22 release, they’ll get a few digital goodies to check out.
This includes an exotic Ghost shell and a Legendary Emblem that shows Europa with Jupiter in the background.
It’s also worth noting that PS4 and Xbox Onepre-orders will automatically transfer upto the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions once those consoles release later this year as well. All previously owned content is transferred free of charge including expansions.
Destiny 2: Beyond Light Editions
Just like last year’s expansion,Shadowkeep,Bungie is giving players plenty of options to pick from outside of the traditional Standard Edition. For those who want a bit more, the Digital Deluxe version features plenty of in-game goodies and the + Season version comes with the premium track of the season pass unlocked on day one. For those willing to shell out a bit more, there’s the Collector’s Edition and Stranger Edition this year as well.
