Bungie continues to roll out updates toDestiny 2as it continues its fourth year of being a live service. Several things have been added and removed overDestiny 2’s lifespan and Bungie will be changing the Ornament preview and purchase system.
WhenDestiny 2players want to look at the available weapon Ornaments, they typically need to access the rotating Eververse shop but Bungie has been looking at ways to streamline the experience a bit better. Beginning next Tuesday,Destiny 2players will be able to view and purchase available Ornaments for Exotic armor and weapons when inspecting those particular items. AlthoughDestiny 2fans will still be able to view the Ornaments in the traditional Eververse method, this will make it easier for them to locate Ornaments for gear that they use.

According to Bungie, the Le Monarque Exotic Combat Bow will be receiving a brand new Ornament in celebration of the 30th Anniversary Pack. The pack comes with theWitch Queenexpansion pack and it will also include the popularDestinyweapon known as Gjallarhorn, Claymore Sword, Eysaluna, 1000 Yard Stare, and more. Each Exotic Weapon will notify players which Ornaments are available for them when they inspect them and it’s likely that some will be available in the Eververse around the release of the anniversary pack.
Players who want to preview the Ornaments that are available for any given weapon will have to inspect the item then tab over to the new Ornaments section. Ornaments can be purchased directly from this menu using the currency inDestiny 2such as Silveror Bright Dust depending on the Ornament. While the Eververse offers a good layout forDestiny 2fans to observe the daily rotation of Ornaments, but being able to look at a weapon and its corresponding Ornaments is intended to help players discover new looks for existing Exotic weapons and armor.
Destiny 2fans who are looking forward to the 30th Anniversary pack can pre-order it or wait until it releases on December 7 which coincides with the changes toDestiny 2’s Ornament preview and purchase system. AlthoughDestiny 2: Witch Queendoesn’t release until February, fans who purchase the more expensiveDestiny 2: Witch Queenand 30th Anniversary Editionwill receive season passes for Seasons 16 through 19, two Year 5 dungeons, an exotic SMG and catalyst, and a sparrow. This plethora of new content coming toDestiny 2may attract an influx of lapsed players that were waiting for new stuff to do.
