Since they were first added toDestiny 2in 2018, titles have beena highly sought cosmeticby players looking to express themselves. Titles take no small amount of effort (and grinding) to unlock, but they give players something to pursue when completing other activities throughout the game.
Since Season 17, Bungie has added titles to each holiday event in the game. Excluding the Reveler title, the four holiday events that have titles are Guardian Games, Solstice,Festival of the Lost, and the Dawning. The Dawning title is Star Baker, and here is how players can obtain it for themselves.

How to Get Star Baker
Toget the Star Baker title, players will need to complete all 16 Triumphs associated with the Dawning. In order to see these Triumphs, players will have to first complete the series of introduction quests provided by Eva Levante at the Tower. ForDestiny 2players unfamiliar with this holiday event, the Dawning is essentially the Christmas event for this game.
Playerswill gather ingredientsfrom killing enemies and completing activities to make cookies for all the non-player characters scattered across the game. The 16 Triumphs needed to get Star Baker are as follows.
Dawn of the Dawning- (Complete the Dawning introduction quests)
Amateur Baker- (Bake 6 of the Cookies in the Dawning Oven)
Snowball Ops- (Defeat combatants with Snowballs in Vanguard Ops Playlist)
Snowball Dares- (Defeat combatants with Snowballs in Dares of Eternity)
Adept Baker- (Bake 13 of the Cookies in the Dawning Oven)
Expert Baker- (Bake 20 of the Cookies in the Dawning Oven)
Shopping Spree- (Purchase all 12 Dawning upgrades from Eva Levante)
Thundersnow- (Get kills with Arc weapons or abilities.)
Snowmelt- (Get kills with Solar weapons or abilities.)
They Call It sNOw- (Get kills with Void weapons or abilities)
Deep Freeze- (Get kills with Stasis weapons or abilities.)
Vanguard Eternity- (Complete Vanguard Ops or Dares of Eternity activities)
Competitive Spirit- (Complete Crucible or Gambit activities)
Nightmare Seraph Before Dawning- (Complete Nightmare Containments or Heist Battlegrounds)
With Light Comes Dawn-ing- (Complete activities in Savathun’s Throne World)
The Dawning runs for three weeks, and it will end on January 3rd. If players do not get Star Baker during this event they will have to wait until next December when it is obtainable again.
Just like with any title, it takes quite a bit of time and grinding to complete all of these Triumphs. Unlike with the Ghost Writer title from Festival of the Lost, there is less overlap that allowsDestiny 2players to work multiple of these triumphs at once. That said, players can easilyget lots of the Essence of Dawningthat is needed to bake cookies by completing activities, especially in the Core Playlists.
Without Masterworking the Dawning Oven, each cookie will cost 15 Essence of Dawning to bake. Once the Dawning Oven is Masterworked, however, cookies will only require 10 Essence of Dawning and whatever other ingredients are needed. Players should verify to wait and Masterwork the Dawning before working on the triumph to bake 50 cookies, as that requires a lot of ingredients to make.
Having a loadout of weapons that cover several different types of damage can help players make progress toward the damage type Triumphs listed above. Since there are Dawning ingredients that can drop from every possible way of killing an enemy, this can also help players get a wider variety of ingredients needed to bake the cookies.
One important thing for players to keep in mind is that the triumph to complete activitiesin Savathun’s Throne Worldtakes awhile to complete. A Lost Sector increases progress by 5%, and completing The Wellspring increases progress by 10%. So players simply have to play activities and make sure to switch damage types periodically, and they will have no troublegetting the Star Baker titlebefore the Dawning comes to a close.
