Bungie releasedDestiny 2’s newest season a mere two days ago, and the reception on the story and the reprised Leviathan location has been very positive overall. Season of the Haunted also comes with the rework of another Light element following The Witch Queen’s Void 3.0 update, and this time it’s the turn ofSolar 3.0 abilitiesand subclasses. ManyDestiny 2fans were looking forward to Solar 3.0 because of how popular the element already was across all game modes, and while feedback hasn’t been all praises, it takes a bit of time to create working builds and truly master the changed classes.A big part of the 3.0 system is that Light subclasses are now getting their own Aspects and Fragments, much like the original Stasis played out in Beyond Light and up until now. As such, Solar 3.0 too creates new powers for each class based on their old kits, mixing and matching abilities to create three Aspects per class, and a set of fourteen shared Fragments.Destiny 2’s Solar 3.0 Fragmentsare not all available from the get-go, but one of the new ones has already been disabled by Bungie due to performance issues.RELATED:Destiny 2 Reveals How to Get Locked Solar 3.0 FragmentsIn a recent tweet from the official Bungie Help Twitter account, it was announced that the Ember of Benevolence Fragment has been disabled because it wasn’t working as intended. This Fragment allows players to gain a decent boost to ability regeneration when making allies Radiant or applying Restoration or Cure to them, all at the cost of a penalty of 10 points to Discipline. Ember of Benevolence had quickly become a great asset in manyDestiny 2support builds for Solar 3.0, but now it won’t be usable until June 7.
In fact, Bungie stated in the same tweet that the Ember of Benevolence Fragment will likely remain unavailable to use for a while, with the ETA being June 7. It’s still possible that the hotfix’s promised date will be shifted based on how difficult it proves to be for Bungie to address the changes, but players most definitely won’t be able to use this Fragment whenDestiny 2’s Duality Dungeon releases tomorrow.
Destiny 2’s 4.1.0 update included lots of changeswith Season of the Haunted, and because the patch was so massive it’s likely that the Ember of Benevolence Fragment ended up not working correctly. Several issues were experienced by the community on launch, such as the crashes when opening Banshee-44’s inventory at the Tower. The character is now wielding a Telesto, and Bungie jokingly confirmed that the gun was responsible for the crashes – which happened to be true.
Destiny 2is currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
