Another weekly update from Bungie brings more content and balance changes toDestiny 2. The Beyond Light expansion continues to provide players with all manner of things to do, whether that’s voting for new ornaments for the Festival of the Lost event later this year or breaking the game in style by participating in aDestiny 212-man raid exploit. The patch notes for the upcoming 3.1.1 update cover a ton of material and players can get everything they need to know about them right here.

First, Guardians need to know when to expect this update and how it’s going to roll out. Daylight Savings Time will set back clocks an hour on March 14, so players will be reset by the time that the 3.1.1 update begins on March 16. On March 16, maintenance for the update will begin at 9:00 a.m. PDT (1600 UTC) and players will be kicked offline at 9:45 a.m. PDT (1645 UTC). At 10:a.m. PDT (1700 UTC) update 3.1.1 will be live on all platforms and players can log back intoDestiny 2.

Update 3.1.1 will see changes to the Fallen S.A.B.E.R. and Devil’s Lair Strikes, weapons, and armor, along with patches to fix random issues inDestiny 2. Both Strikes will be getting fixes related to bosses, text errors, and broken object physics like an energy shield sticking out of a wall.

For armor, the Omnioculus Exotics will now display flavor text and won’t grant melee energy under specific circumstances. There’s also some fixes for a few other Exotics and Cuirass of the Falling Star. For weapons, Arbalest gets a nerf, Riskrunner will no longer cause epileptic issues, and there’smore changes to Stasis abilities for PvPthat will be coming in a later patch on March 23.

As for other random issues, there’s a shortlist that will be updated once 3.1.1 goes live:

Clan XP will also be temporarily disabled on March 16 from 11 a.m. PDT (1800 UTC) to 12 p.m. PDT (1900 UTC), so any clan XP gained during this time will be lost. All these changes should help players properly prepare forDestiny 2’s Grandmaster Nightfalls, which will be available on the same day as update 3.1.1.

Today also signals thereturn of Trials of Osiris toDestiny 2. After resolving an issue that may have been due toDestiny 2players essentially throwing matches for flawless streaks, Bungie is ready to bring back Trials of Osiris and players can jump back in with their fireteams and get started.
