Week two of theOlympic inspired event Guardian Gameskicked off earlier in the week and to most players surprise, the Titan class has been winning every day since the Hunters took day 1. Even with the Hunters population much larger than either Warlocks or Titans, the heavy hitting class has been showing up in force. While some have cried foul over potential glitches or bugs, Bungie has confirmed that no such foul play has been happening.

In addition, the studiodiscussed the topic of FOMO in future seasonsofDestiny 2, revealing that numerous changes are on the way. Not only is a more interconnected storyline being developed for Year 4, but the larger seasonal activities like the Sundial and related gear, will remain active beyond the season so those who may be coming late can still experience it. Bounties are also getting overhauled, with Bungie admitting that they’ve unfortunately evolved into mandatory chores rather than optional ways for players to optimize their character.

While the future is starting to look a bit brighter than it once did, in the meantime,Destiny 2players are getting their weekly visit from Xur, the exotic merchant. Follow this guide for his location as well as a review of what he’s currently selling for the weekend of June 28, 2025.

Where is Xur?

This weekend, the shifty merchant can be found in his usual hut on Saturn’s moon, Titan.

Once loaded into The Rig, start heading to the other side of the zone towards the ramp that leads to the Solarium. Before reaching that ramp, Xur can be found inside one of the nearby houses, typically on the left side if the player is facing the Solarium ramp.

Class Armor

Keep in mind thatthe Armor 2.0 updatehas caused Xur’s items each week to mirror the rolls players get from pulling these items from their own Collections. As it stands, players should likely hold on to their shards if they already own the following items. Players can use the Fated Engram to pull something a little different if nothing in his inventory is appealing this week, including newer exotic items.

Here are Xur’s three gear pieces this weekend:

Skull of Dire Ahamkara - Warlock helm

Once upon a time, this was the go to exotic item for Voidwalker Warlocks. Unfortunately, this item as well as a number ofsuper generating exotics were heavily nerfedand significantly hurt their viability. As such, the only major things this item has going for it these days is the very high Discipline stat for those who need it for their character build.

It’s armor perk is Actual Grandeur which not only provides additional damage resistance when casting Nova Bomb, but kills grant super energy. Naturally, this is a Voidwalker specific armor piece, but due to recent nerfs its hard to recommend over some other choices that Warlocks have access to like Nezarec’s Sin or Contraverse Hold.

Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:

Khepri’s Sting - Huntergauntlets

It’s been a while, but the Egyptian styled gauntlets known as Khepri’s Sting are available for Hunters this weekend. Touch of Venom is the exotic perk and it’s entirely for Nightstalker players. The perk makes the smoke bomb detonate instantly and not only improves the damage but grants the player Truesight as well.

Following the recentnerf to the once mighty Orpheus Rig boots, these may be a more viable option than they’ve been in the past. Still, Gwishin Vest may continue to reign supreme for Way of the Wraith players. Hunters who need a bit of extra help with Void melee or smoke bomb related bounties for Guardian Games will definitely want to check these out however.

Severance Enclosure - Titan chest armor

Xur has seemingly been listening to the recent complaints raised by the community and has finally brought something newer with him this week. The Season of Dawn exotic Severance Enclosure is now available for Titan players this weekend. It’s exotic perk is called Spheromatik Trigger which unleash a damaging explosion after an Arc, Solar, or Void melee final blow. Finishers and final blows against more powerful enemies increase the radius and damage of the explosion.

While it may not be the best Titan exotic, it’s no doubt a fun one to play around with especially in this current season. Similar to the Warlock’s Felwinter’s Helm exotic, many ofthe seasonal mods and Warmind Cellscan result in room clearing damage when paired with this gear. Thunder Coil and Code of the Juggernaut work well with this exotic and should help clear out those melee based bounties for Guardian Games fairly quickly.

Exotic Weapon

Originally aDestiny 1exotic, this assault rifle made it’s triumphant return in the Shadowkeep expansion. The Monte Carlo Method is its intrinsic perk which reduces the player’s melee cooldown when dealing damage with the gun. In addition, it gives a chance to fully charge the player’s melee ability following each kill. Markov Chain pairs with this ability which gives the gun increased damage following melee kills and kills with the weapon. Melee kills also generate weapon ammo.

Following the recent buffs and adjustments to Assault Rifle includinga nerf to the almighty Hard Light, Monte Carlo has once again become a viable option for many players especially considering its ability to help regenerate melee abilities. This gun is now especially important during the Guardian Games as it’s capable of assisting in finishing many melee based bounties and generating laurels. For those who don’t yet have this weapon, it’s worth picking up this week.
