A Diablo 2 Reference
Before players ofDiablo Immortalget deeper into the idea of Charms in the game, it may help to get a bit of context as to why they exist there in the first place. Whereas Runes can be combined to create various Gems that give new bonuses and abilities to socketed items, Charms are yet another way to improve one’sDiablo Immortalcharacter. They also come fromDiablo 2, where they serve a similar mechanic.
Unlike inDiablo Immortalwhere a Charm serves as an equippable item, theDiablo 2Charmis instead placed in the inventory. Similar to a real-life charm that is usually stored in one’s person, Charms inDiablo 2only work when placed inside the inventory proper. Not only that, Charms also come in different shapes and sizes, further forcing players to optimize their approach to inventory.
Charms In Diablo Immortal: Get Skill Boosts
Similar to itsDiablo 2counterpart,CharmsinDiablo Immortalare used specifically toimprove a player’s Skills. Improving them further comes with usingSkill Stoneson them, although there’s a particular level of luck involved when optimizing them for a player’s use. Here are other things players may want to know about Charms on the get-go before deep-diving into them:
Obtaining Charms In Diablo Immortal
Before players get into the nitpicky part of rerolling Skill improvements inside their Charms, it helps to at least identify what they best ways are of obtaining them.

Despite the resource-intensive nature of upgrading Charms, players at least have a lot of other means of obtaining them. Depending on the player’s preferences, players can try obtaining Charms through the following methods:
Daily Activity Rewards
One sure-fire way players can grab Charms is through theDaily Activityrewards. Through the Codex, players can access the Battle Pass menu and see what objectives they need to accomplish in order to earn Battle Points for their Passes.
However, a part of this menu is the Daily Activity Rewards, where completing all three of them meritsone (1) Simple Charm. There’s the caveat of players not obtaining bonuses for the Skills they prefer for theirbrokenDiablo Immortalbuilds, but this is the most guaranteed way of obtaining a Charm in the game.
Battle Pass Rewards
One of the best ways players can grab Charms is throughBattle Pass rewards. Similar to other games,Diablo Immortaldoes offer a Battle Pass that gives players various rewards depending on how they complete various objectives. Some Battle Passes do offer Simple Charms as rewards.
Not all Battle Passes offer Charms, however, so players do need to pay attention as to what the Passes offer before pursuing their objectives. Moreover, there’s also the possibility of players obtaining Charms but not for Skills their Classes possess.
Hilts Trader Offerings
Players can purchaseup to three (3) Charms every weekfrom theHilts Trader, with each costing 100 Hilts. Most of these Charms are just Simple Charms, which may contain Skill improvements for any kind of Class.
Not only that, but the Hilts Trader offers various items every day. This means there’s always the likelihood of Charms not being part of the current selection for that particular day. However, should players do see Charms in the list, they are at least sure that they can purchase them, unlike in other methods.
Completing Bounties From The Bounty Board
One of the daily tasks players could do inDiablo Immortalgameplay isBounties from the Bounty Board. Heading to this location in Westmarch gives players opportunities to do up to eight (8) Bounties every day, all involving killing various monsters in exchange for various rewards.
There’s always a likelihood of obtaining Charms from finishing Bounties, but the chances of this happening are very low, soDiablo Immortalgamers shouldn’t make the mistakeof expecting Charms from the Board all the time. Players can accomplish up to 56 Bounties throughout the week, so there’s always a chance of getting even basic Charms after finishing this process.
Modifying Charms In Diablo Immortal
As mentioned, while Charms inDiablo Immortalgameplay do improve a player’s Skills, they don’t necessarily always contain improvements for their Class. Sometimes, a Charm may contain improvements that grant bonuses to other Class Skills instead. This gives players a multitude of modification options, all of which can improve upon their experience with dealing with Charms throughout the game. Here are those options:

Modification 1: Salvaging Charms
The first and simplest modification players could do to their Charms is toSalvagethem. At its core, players Salvage their Charms if the ones they possess don’t necessarily fit the character they’re using. This is a great way of ensuring that randomly-obtained Charms always have their uses, similar to the flexibility ofDiablo ImmortalLegendary Gems. When performing a Salvage through their Charms, they can do so with two primary options:
Modification 2: Upgrading Charms
One of the most basic ways of improving a Charm inDiablo Immortalis throughUpgrades. In order to do this, players need to go to the Charm Craftsman in Westmarch, who is located near the Wolf Gate around the southern part of the town. Afterwards, they need to select Upgrade, which costs20 Alchemical Powder.
There are currently 5 Ranks that each Charm can obtain, and they all begin at Rank 1. As such, players need80 Alchemical Powderin order to improve Charms to their maximum Rank. Each new Rank obtained will grant a random Skill bonus to the Charm, of which there can be a total of five (5) by the time they reach the last Ranking. Similar to obtaining a Charm, each upgrade within the Charm won’t necessarily grant a Skill from the character’s Class.
Modification 3: Rerolling Charms
Given how each Charm can have up to five (5) random Skills, there’s always the likelihood that players don’t like not just the Skill bonuses they have but the bonus modifier themselves. In these situations, players can actually decide toRerollthe bonuses in their Charms.
As mentioned, players are only able to do this through Skill Stones, which means their existing Charm will be converted into a Skill Stone, which is then inserted into another existing Charm. This is quite similar to aspects oftheDiablo 3grind, which also offers multiple “rerolling” opportunities.
Imbuing A Skill Stone
Inserting a Skill Stone into a Charm is actually quite easy. When meeting the Charm Craftsman, players can simply choose “Imbue” and select a Skill they want to overwrite within an existing Charm. Theoretically, players can finally have the chance to insert a bonus benefiting a Class Skill into another Charm that has another bonus.
Skill Bonus Not A Guarantee
Imbuing a Skill Stone to get a stat that players want isn’t necessarily always going to be for their benefit. At its core, when players imbue an existing Skill Stone into a Charm, they only have a20-percent chanceof getting the Class Skill that came from the Skill Stone’s original Charm.
Not only that, but the inserted Skill Stone will grant a Class Skill with arandom modifier separate from its original values.Whenever players insert a Skill Stone into a new Charm, here’s the likelihood that said bonus will grant the following modifier:
