The Elder Scrolls' Khajiit of Elsweyr are a unique type of beast-folk in Tamriel. Unlike the other races, the Khajiit’s look can range from looking like a normal house cat to a humanoid to a large quadruped feline that stands taller than a High Elf. Theirlooks aren’t determined by geneticslike most of the other races. The Two Moons, known asMasser and Secunda, are the ones that determine what a Khajiit could look like. The breed of a Khajiit is determined by the phases of the moons, and they vary greatly from one to another.

There are said to be 17 different types of Khajiit to exist, but only a few have been seen inThe Elder Scrollsgames. With so many different kinds, it can be a little tough to keep up with them all. Here’s a small guide of Khajiit that call Elsweyr home.

It should be noted that Khajiit with the “-raht” suffix are more or less the same as their non-raht cousins, but are usually larger than them. Khajiit come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and it all depends on the moon cycle on the day their born. From looking like a normal housecat to being bigger than even the tallest High Elf, it can be a little tough to tell which is a Khajiit and which are lesser sentient cats like Senche-leopards or Senche-cats. Fans are already familiar with of the kinds of Khajiit, but this list will give a little bit more information about those that aren’t that common outside Elsweyr.
13Dagi-Raht
The Dagi-raht are very similar to their Dagi cousins, but are a little bit taller (thought not by much) than them. Like the Dagi, they can live in trees and are smaller than Wood Elves. The Dagi-raht are believed to live in the Tenmar Forest alongside the Dagi and are a less common form of Khajiit.
But no one should think less of the Dagi-raht because of their small stature. They are capablewarriors and mages as seen with Za’jiinThe Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr. He is the captain of The Perfect Pounce ship who is respected by his crew (most of whom are bigger and larger Khajiits) and helps the Vestige during the main quest ofElsweyr. Dagi-raht are born when both Masser and Secunda are waning.
12Pahmar-Raht
A giant bipedal Khajiit that averagely stands taller than even the tallest High Elf. Considered the strongest, they are usually employed as bodyguards and warriors. They are usually tiger-like in appearance and are said to be similar to theKa Po' Tun of Akavir.
Because their physical strength is so great and more than enough for them to take on their enemies, very few Pahmar-raht will use magic in combat. Pahmar-raht are born when Masser is full and Secunda is waning.
11Alfiq
A magically-gifted form of Khajiit that is very powerful. The Alfiq look very similar to house cats that can be found throughout Tamriel. They are very intelligent and capable of speech, though most races don’t know this. They don’t usually travel beyond Elsweyr because outsiders tend to treat them as pets. Despite this, some Alfiq will actually pose as house cats and serve as information gatherers and spies.

They do wear clothing, but can’t put it on themselves without help from others, or they use their magic.The Daedric Prince of Madness, Sheogorath, is known to pose as an Alfiq known as the Mad Cat and cause chaos for any unfortunate souls near him. Alfiq are born when Masser is waning and Secunda is full.
10Senche-Raht
Nicknamed “battlecats.” The Senche-raht are one of the largest Khajiits. Though slower than a Senche, they are bigger and stronger. They are usually mistaken for beasts and rarely travel outside of Elsweyr because of this. They are very intelligent, can speak, and use magic like other Khajiit. Thanks to their strength and greater speed than most races, a lot of Senche-rahts love hunting for their everyday meals.
Sometimes they will work asmounts or beasts of burden,but they dislike being lowered to such a status. They are capable of any job as other Khajiit and some work as merchants and other jobs beyond physical labor. Senche-raht are born when Masser is full and Secunda is waxing.
9Dagi
A less common version of Khajiit. Dagi usually live in the southern marshes and jungles of Elsweyr. They are short in stature and are considered one of the smallest forms of Khajiit and resemble lynxes. Because they’re lightweight compared to most Khajiit, they can live in high places that can’t even hold a Bosmer’s weight. Since Bosmer are the smallest and lightest race compared to the other Mer and human races, this shows that the Dagi are very lightweight.
Because of their inclination to climb trees, a lot of races compare them to monkeys and the Dagi find this insulting. Though there’s no reliable proof, the Dagi are suspected to beskilled in using magic. Dagi are born when Masser is waning and Secunda is new.
8Cathay-Raht
Nicknamed “the jaguar-men.” The Cathay-raht are similar to their Cathay cousins, but larger and stronger. Despite the jaguar description, the Cathay-raht can have many different colors and patterns. They are capable warriors as seen with Zamarak, who is an adept of the Desert Wind martial arts and later becomes Khamira’s Claw/guardian once she becomes queen of Anequina.

Very fast and agile, the Cathay-raht can jump great distances with ease. Some have been described as having thesame size and speed as a werewolf. Cathay-raht are born when Masser and Secunda are waxing.
7Ohmes
Considered “man-like” or “man-faced.” The Ohmeslook very similar to the Bosmerthough sometimes shorter. To let outsiders know that they are Khajiit, the Ohmes usually paint their faces with feline-like patterns. Unlike their Ohmes-raht cousins, the Ohmes have no fur, no tail, and no distinguishable Khajiit features.
They used to be a common sight until the fourth century of the 3rd Era, but have since become a rare form of Khajiit. Ohmes are born when Masser is new and Secunda is full.
6Suthay-Raht
One of the most common form of Khajiit. Suthay-raht are bipedal and similar in build and height to the races of man. Their bodies are completely covered in fur of different colors and patterns and have digitigrade legs. They have claws on their hands and feets and their heads look cat-like.
They are known to be excellent jumpers aswell as agile and sneaky.While they are good warriors, they aren’t as good as Cathay-raht. Suthay-raht are born when Masser is new and Secunda is waning.
5Senche
The Senche are often confused with their lesser sentient and more catlike cousins the Senche-Cats. They are similar to the Pahmar-raht andstand as tall as an Altmeror the shoulder height of a horse.
Their front arms are really thick and muscular, and they have long back legs, giving them an almost ape-like appearance. Like their Seche-raht cousins, Senche can work as beasts of burden or as mounts. Senche Khajiit are born when both Masser and Secunda are full.
4Tojay-Raht
Very little has been revealed about the Tojay-raht and their Tojay cousins. Based on the statues seen of them, the Tojay-raht appear to be digitigrade legs and are bipedal. They appear to have rounder features than most of their Khajiit cousins. The Tojay-raht also seem to be a little slimmer than the Suthay and Suthay-raht, but bigger than the Dagi and Dagi-raht.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyrdid show a lot of the furstock Khajiit, but there were no Tojay or Tojay-raht Khajiit who appeared. It can be assumed that they are one of the rarer breeds of Khajiit to be born. Tojay-raht are born when Masser is waxing and Secunda is waning.
