Disney Dreamlight Valleyis all about maintaining a beautiful and unique village while fostering friendships among its residents. The player regularly steps in to ensure each villager fits in and that the whole community can live in harmony.
In previous quests, players have teamed up with The Beast to not only help him make more friends but also deepen his relationship with Belle. This guide will show players how to finish the quest “A Gift in Crimson,” so The Beast can show thanks in his own way inDisney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Start the Quest “A Gift in Crimson”
ReachingFriendship Level 10withThe Beastunlocks his final Friendship quest,“A Gift in Crimson.”The player must have completed his previous quest, “The Crown or the Claw,” and does not need to have completed any of Belle’s Friendship quests.
How to Complete the Quest “A Gift in Crimson”
The Beast has been adjusting well to life in Dreamlight Valley but feels something is missing: beautiful red roses. To resolve this, The Beast requests the construction of a Greenhouse using specific items:20 Glass, 10 Dry Wood, 5 Gold Ingots, 5 Crystals,and30 Soil. Here’s where players can find these necessary materials:
Glass is crafted using5 Sandand1 Coal Oreeach.
10 Dry Wood
Dry Wood can be foraged in Forgotten Lands, Frosted Heights, and Sunlit Plateau.
Gold Ingots are crafted using5 Gold Nuggetsand1 Coal Oreeach.
5 Crystal
Crystals are obtained from mineral veins in the Forgotten Lands biome.
Soil can be obtained by digging in any biome.
Craft and Place Beast’s Greenhouse
The player should head to a crafting table with the collected materials. Under the Furniture tab, find theBeast’s Greenhouserecipe and proceed to craft it.
Once crafted, set up the Greenhouse in any outdoor area within the village. To do this, open the inventory menu and select the furniture tab. In the top section, the player can select The Beast’s portrait to easily find andplace the Greenhouse.

Collect Rose Cuttings
After the Greenhouse is in place, speak to The Beast again. He’s ready to start setting up the Greenhouse and tasks the player with collecting rose cuttings from the Beauty and the Beast realm. Open the map and use the fast travel menu toteleport to the realm.

Once in the realm, head for The Beast’s outdoor garden. Navigate the stairs directly ahead and make left turns at every opportunity until arriving at the outdoor garden doors.
The garden has certainly seen better days, so the player will need towater 12 dry rosesand collect them once they have been revitalized. With all the roses collected, exit the realm and return to The Beast.

Hand Out Roses to Villagers
The Beast decides thatWall-E,Mirabel,andMother Gothel, all key players in his previous quests, should each receive a rose as a token of friendship. Distribute these roses accordingly, then return to The Beast.
The Beast reveals he has saved the prettiest rose for Belle. Follow The Beast to witness a heartfelt conversation between the two. Speak to The Beast again to learn that the conversation went well and to receive thanks for aiding his adjustment to his new life in Dreamlight Valley.

As a final friendship reward, The Beast gives the playerThe Beast’s Royal Blue Brocade Suit, a beautiful costume suit that resembles his own princely wear, concluding the quest “A Gift in Crimson”’
Greenhouse Benefits & Upgrades
The Beast’s Greenhouse functionssimilarly to Moana’s Boat. It can be visited periodically to collect flowers that The Beast grows, including rare Red Roses. The Greenhouse can be upgraded by interacting with Scrooge McDuck’s construction sign.
Each upgrade will increase both the maximum number of flowers it can store until collected and the chances of obtaining rare Red Roses. The cost in gold for each upgrade rises incrementally until all upgrades are acquired, with the final upgrade costing a whopping80,000Star Coins.
