DC League of Super-Petsarrives in theaters in just a few days, but a few lucky guests were able to watch the new movie at exclusive advanced screenings held in Los Angeles. Two of these screenings got an extra special surprise, as lead voice actor Dwayne Johnson also attended in disguise. Dressed up as Superman’s dog Krypto, which is the character he voices in the film, Johnson showed up at the screenings, and fans did not expect to see him there.
Johnson shared a video of one of the specialDC League of Super-Petsscreenings on his social media account. “Stuff like this will always be the best part of my job,” he wrote and revealed that he loves to surprise audiences watching his movies. However, this one was special for him as well, as he found a loving home for a rescue dog in association with the Best Friends Animal Society. The three-minute feel-good video has been receiving a lot of love on social media from Johnson’s fans.

The video begins with Johnson arriving in some sort of a dressing room andputting on the Krypto suit. Speaking to the camera, Johnson is then heard talking about the surprise he has planned, and after he hilariously bumps into a ceiling lamp because he is unable to see properly. He is even seen taking fan photos with audience members, all while in disguise, and reveals that he has a “pretty special surprise up [his] sleeve” this time around.
The big reveal happens when Johnson is brought on stage topromoteDC League of Super-Pets. This is when he takes off his mask, and the crowd begins to cheer. Some fans are brought to tears and in shock, while others seem ecstatic at seeing the actor standing in front of them. While he does promote his film, Johnson has an ulterior motive. He invites a family onto the stage and reveals that he has a gift for them. The children have always wanted to adopt a pet dog, and Johnson brings forward a puppy named Quail, who is a rescue dog from the animal shelter that Johnson and Kevin Hart support.
DC League of Super-Petswill turn the spotlight toward the pets of the popular Justice League superheroes. After their owners get into trouble, the pets must step up and save them, and the world. Johnson takes the lead as Superman’s dog and will be seen bringing together a team for the mission. This isn’t the only DC superhero project that the actor is working on though. HisBlack Adamalso arrives later this year, where fans will see Johnson portray the role of the anti-hero.
