The addition of women intoEA FC 24Ultimate Team has changed the gameplay significantly. Height, dribbling, body type, etc. all play a part in team structure beyond stats alone like in previous titles. It is imperative to know which of these new players can enhance a player’s style of play on the road to Division 1 and FUT Champs glory.
10Lynn Wilms (RB, Wolfsburg VfL)
Starting the list is a missable player so make sure she is picked! At level 15 of the Season Progress objective, Lynn Wilms is one of two players the player can pick. The other is Sandy Baltimore, who is an excellent choice as well. However, there are already a few very good French right-wingers in the D1 Arkema league (women’s French division). Wilms is the best right back in the Frauen-Bundesliga.
Boasting exciting stats in key areas, such as pace, dribbling, defending, and physical, Wilms is an excellent choice for players who like theirfull-backs bombing up the fieldto help in attack. Possessing four PlayStyles, including Incisive Pass and Anticipate, Wilms is great for stopping the ball and playing accurate through balls to wingers to get a quick counter-attack going. Applying the Anchor chemistry style makes Wilms a defensive wall with the pace and strength to beat any winger, fast or strong.
9Georgia Stanway (CDM, Bayern Munich)
The only representative of the English in this list, Georgia Stanway is an excellent box-to-box midfielder who can do everything asked of her. Quick and nimble, she is great at jockeying an opponent, anticipating the moment to snatch the ball, and playing a Pinged Pass towards her more attacking teammates.
Possessing stats that make her a jack of all trades means she can be useful in most positions on the pitch. She can run, shoot, pass incredibly well, take the ball and run, protect the back line, and showcase her aggression to get the ball back. He is a player who would be missed if subbed off or ruled out through injury in any team that plays either a high press or counter-attacking football. With the Engine chemistry style, Stanway becomes even more skillful and quicker on the ball to help with her box-to-box nature.
8Lena Oberdorf (CDM, Wolfsburg VfL)
Another Wolfsburg player so soon, Lena Oberdorf is the opposite kind of defensive midfielder that Georgia Stanway is. Making sure that Oberdorfsits in placein front of the back line is key. Her lack of pace is made up for by her excellent defensive acumen. Boasting some of the highest defensive stats of any player inEA FC 24, Oberdorf also possesses excellent strength and aggression to dispossess opponents much larger than herself.
With a plethora of PlayStyles to boost her defensive ability, such as Intercept, Anticipate, and Bruiser, Oberdorf is very hard to get past. This helps protect the back line, and thus, decreases the scary situations of panic defending with the center back against a deadly striker. Adding the Artist’s chemistry style to her card makes her passing and maneuverability that much better.
7Fran Kirby (CAM/RW, Chelsea)
Fast with excellent technique and shooting, The first attacking player of this list is Chelsea’s Fran Kirby. Naturally a center attacking-midfielder, but due to her height (5'2) her alternative position as a right-winger is where she truly shines. Already possessing great dribbling stats and the Technical PlayStyle, Kirby is excellent for one-on-one battles with opposition fullbacks.
As Kirby will be one of the primary goal outlets in a team with her at right-wing, giving her the Hunter chemistry style is the way to go. Upping her pace and shooting even more makes her deadly once she enters the box because of her previously mentioned slick dribbling. Making her one of the most exciting additions toUltimate Team.
6Ashley Lawrence (RB, Chelsea)
Back to the more defensive players (attackers are coming, do not worry) is another Chelsea player. Ashley Lawrence, the Canadian right back is perhaps the best right back in Ultimate Team. With great pace and brilliant defending, coupled with good passing and dribbling, she is the pinnacle of the modern fullback. She can do it all.
Having good links to the Women’s Super League makes picking her up for that English League squad all the more crucial for chemistry. Her Jockey PlayStyle makes it very hard for opposition wingers looking to get past her to get a cross or cutback into the box. Either a Shadow or Anchor chemistry style is useful here. Shadow for pure pace and defending if the player wishes to use her more offensively, Anchor for a more protective style of play.
5Diani (RW, Olympique Lyon)
Kadidiatou Diani is what Ultimate Team players fear whenever the starting lineups are displayed at the start of matches. She has all the hallmarks of a day ruiner. Fast? Absolutely. Can dribble? Comparative to Neymar.Strong? Surprisinglyyes for her height. Can shoot? Better than most poachers. Having Diani either burst into the box for a shot or at the back post for a tap-in is a recipe for disaster for any opponent unfortunate enough to come up against her.
With the Quick Step and Technical PlayStyles to her name, Diani will make the fastest fullbacks sweat when chasing her down the winger. She also possesses the alternative position of striker, so she can be deployed centrally to cause havoc against slow centre-backs. Any offensive chemistry style will make Diani better. Hunter to maximize her pace and shooting.
4Guro Reiten (LW, Chelsea)
If Diani was a speedy menace on the right, Guro Reiten is the left-wing equivalent. The Chelsea (yes, another one) winger has all the qualities of Diani, just that she’s left-footed. Easy to link because of the league she’s in, Reiten has lots of pace and excellent ball control to take her through opposition defenders with relative ease.
With the option to play Reiten at center attacking-midfield, she holds PlayStyles to make her very viable there. Incisive Pass and Whipped Pass makethrough balls to strikers killer. However, her best position is on the left, where she can cut in and score or assist the team. The Hunter chemistry style turns her into one of the game’s best attackers.
3Caroline Hansen (RW, Barcelona)
A tall player with stats excelling in every position, Caroline Hansen isEA FC 24’sbest female winger by far. Playing in a league and team with many other excellent players, Hansen is very easy to link. With her five-star skills, great pace, shooting, passing, and dribbling, Hansen has it all with regard to attack.
At five foot ten (177cm) Hansen is one of the women’s tallest outfield players, making it harder to push off the ball compared to the other players mentioned earlier in this list (sorry Fran Kirby). Thismoderate strengthand good height make her a force to be reckoned with out wide and makes quick work of any and all fullbacks she comes up against. Giving Hansen the Hunter chemistry style makes her one of the game’s best finishers, as well as one of the fastest.
2Alexia Putellas (CM, Barcelona)
Possibly the most well-rounded female player inEA FC 24, Alexia Putellas is the perfect midfielder. Fast, can shoot, pass, run with the ball, and even do a bit of defending on top. The female equivalent of a Steven Gerrard or Frank Lampard. Using Putellas as either a central midfielder or attacking midfielder is where the player will get the most out of her abilities. She’s wasted as a center defensive midfielder because of her excellent shooting stats.
Alexia Putellas can even be utilized as a winger or even striker if light in those positions because the vast majority of the player’s coins have been spent to acquire her. Giving Alexia Putellas either the Hunter chemistry style to make her a force in the attack, or a Shadow or Anchor if the player already has attacking-minded players and wants to sure up the midfield defensively is the way to go for someone so close to being the best of the best inEA FC 24.
1Sam Kerr (ST, Chelsea)
When it comes to building around a team, it’s best to build around a goalscorer. Somebody who knows where the goal is and has that killer instinct to find the back of the net each and every time they’re needed to do so. Sam Kerr is that striker. Completing the Women’s Super League links (and another Chelsea player) to previously mentioned players such as Ashley Lawrence and Guro Reiten, Sam Kerr is the icing on the cake of an excellent team.
Possessing four-star skill moves and a weak foot means Kerr can skillfully take on opponents and take a shot on goal with either foot. What puts Kerr above the rest in attack isn’t her dribbling, pace or even shooting. It’s her physicality. 88 base strength, 95 jumping, coupled with 93 heading accuracy makes someone fairly short (5'6/167cm) surprisingly competitive in the air and when muscling off taller defenders.
