Elden Ringis considered to be one of the most difficult games of all time. WhileElden Ringoffers many challenging enemiesand bosses that players enjoy fighting, and gamers are severely punished if they die, one thing that a lot of fans don’t like is how other players can invade their game, especially now that some of these invaders have started to hack them.
FromSoftware is known for making very challenging games, such asDark SoulsandSekiro: Shadows Die Twice. FromSoftware’s most recent game,Elden Ring, which it made withGame of Thronescreator, George R. R. Martin, has been out for almost a month. While fans of FromSoftware games have been likingElden Ringa lot, its success has caused the studio to gain a new fanbase as well. FromElden Ring’s insanely difficult bosses to its beautiful open world, many gamers have been enjoying the game, spending dozens of hours playing it.

Unfortunately, there are some players that have more fun by ruiningElden Ringfor others rather than fighting bosses, exploring their surroundings, and working with other gamers. While its common for players to invade others' game, some PC gamers are taking things way too far by hacking them. When a player gets hacked, their game will crash. Once they return toElden Ring, they will discover that instead of playing the game as they normally would, they repeatedly die by falling off the map.
EldenRingUpdate brought this to gamers' attention through Twitter and also sent a link to a Reddit post, where Draiganedig let players know how they can get back to playing the game if this happens to them. As they fall down to their death, fans should open upElden Ring’s world mapand travel to a Site of Grace. It is also highly recommended for players to back up their save file and to not play with others on PC until the issue is resolved. Console gamers luckily don’t have to worry about this problem.
Considering that many fans prefer playing online so they can help each other progress throughElden Ring, it’s a shame that some ill-intentioned gamers have to ruin the fun for others. FromSoftware will hopefully find a way to stop invaders from hacking other players soon, as this is one challenging part of the game that none of the fans should have to deal with.
