Summary

Another Crab’s Treasureis an upcoming underwater Soulslike adventure by Aggro Crab that will put players into the shoes of Kril the hermit crab as he attempts to find and reclaim his repossessed shell. Along the way, players will face a variety of platforming challenges and Soulslike bosses, all while discovering valuable treasures from decorative shells to new weapons throughout theindie game.

Based on what has been revealed so far,Another Crab’s Treasure’s combat appears to be reminiscent of theSoulslike gamesbefore it, especially its boss battles, as players will have to rely primarily on timed evasions and well-placed attacks. While only a few ofAnother Crab’s Treasure’s bosses have been shown in both the official release trailer and the game’s demo, they provide a rather illuminating picture of what players can expect when they head into its underwater world.

Every Soulslike Boss in Another Crab’s Treasure Revealed So Far

So far, inAnother Crab’s Treasure’s boss battle gameplay footage, release date trailer, and demo, only three confirmed bosses have been revealed. There are a couple of other enemies in the trailer that could potentially be bosses, but that is purely speculation. While each Soulslike boss in the footage revealed so far seems to utilize mechanics familiar to the genre,Another Crab’s Treasure’s silly take on the Soulslike genrewill likely make each boss an unforgettable encounter.

Polluted Platoon Pathfinder

The Polluted Platoon Pathfinder was revealed by Aggro Crab in a shortboss battle gameplay video forAnother Crab’s Treasureposted on the developer’s Twitter/X page in 2022. However, a little over a year later, a temporary demo of the game allowed players to fight three bosses, including the Polluted Platoon Pathfinder. This boss is a giant glass bottle-wielding crab that seems to prefer to maintain its distance until the player closes in. Its attacks consist of swinging its bottle in wide arcs and occasionally leaping into the air and slamming it down on the player’s head from above.

Diseased Lichenthrope

The Diseased Lichenthrope is the secondchallenging Soulslike bossplayers were allowed to fight in theAnother Crab’s Treasuredemo and is quite different from the Pathfinder. The Diseased Lichenthrope is set apart from the other confirmed bosses in its ability to summon minion crabs to its aid. Additionally, the giant lichen will swipe at the player if they get too close, attempt to leap onto the player if they get too far away, and will even use a powerful suction to pull the player in close if necessary. Finally, when it hits the ground after a leap, it will cover the immediate area in algae that can slow players who get caught in it.

Heikea, Intimidation Crab

The final confirmed boss revealed forAnother’s Crab Treasureso far is Heikea, Intimidation Crab. Heikea looks like it will be a rathermemorable Soulslike bossinAnother Crab’s Treasure, as there are several mechanics at play here. Firstly, this boss wields large chopsticks as a weapon and appears to be a bit more agile than the others. One of its unique mechanics is its ability to “frighten” Kril, inflicting a temporary status effect on him. Upon reaching half of its health, Heikea will break apart its chopsticks and begin dual-wielding them, evolving its attacks in the process.

Other Potential Bosses in Another Crab’s Treasure

A couple of other potential bosses were revealed in the release date trailer forAnother Crab’s Treasure, including a menacing green enemy with a keychain around its neck and a giant horse-like creature with wings. It’s currently unclear just how many bosses players will be facing inAnother Crab’s Treasure, but the game’s distinct premise and art style will likely make it a memorable experience.

Another Crab’s Treasurereleases on July 20, 2025, for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
