An adaptation of the manga of the same name, the animeFairy Tailcame out in the 2000s, and is one of the last shows that had the long-running episodic format. Like the manga, the show featured a lot of guildsfilled with wacky charactersand strong personalities.
While the likes of Fairy Tail, Lamia Scale, Sabertooth, and Crime Sorcière are considered some of the strongest, there are, in fact, quite a few guilds that are quite weak in comparison. It’s time to shine a spotlight on those particular guilds. Take note, though, that guilds that have little to no information about them in the anime will not be considered.
7Orochi’s Fin
Cowered In Fear When Fairy Tail Came For Revenge
Orochi’s Fin guild claims to have a rivalry with Lamia Scale. The reason for this rivalry is unknown, but even though they are a legal guild, Orochi’s Fin gets up to no good most of the time.
They aren’t without power, but compared to all the guilds showcased inFairy Tail, they are weak by comparison. They did manage to get Bluenote as a hired hand, but he and the rest of the guild were defeated in no time byNatsu and co. Once cornered, they solidified their reputation as a weak guild, as they surrendered immediately and didn’t even attempt to put up a fight.
6Quatro Cerberus
The rockstar guild was created by Goldmine, a former member of Fairy Tail, and he put together quite a few unique individuals. Again, this is the case of a guild that isn’t weak in itself, but when compared to the other top guilds in the land, it is relatively weak.
Quatro Cerebus has an S-class mage called Bacchus on hand, but he suffered defeat at the hands of Elfman after making a bet. This led to the guild changing its name to Quatro Puppy. In the anime, the guild was used for a lot of gags. In a battle against the other top guilds, few will consider them capable of holding their own.
5Twilight Ogre
Disgraced Upon The Return Of Fairy Tail
Twilight Ogre is a guild in Magnolia who started toterrorize the townwhen the Fairy Tail guild was trapped on Tenrou island. With all the strong characters from Fairy Tail gone, the mages left were weak, and Twilight Ogre took advantage of that. In a memorable scene, they stormed the Fairy Tail guild hall and were accosted by Romeo Conbolt, who wanted to protect the guild.
Romeo was about to take a hit when the assailant was casually kicked away, and it was revealed that the main Fairy Tail mages were back. As none of the Twilight Ogre members could even hold a candle to the Fairy Tail main members, it’s easy to consider them among the weaker guilds.
4Sylph Labyrinth
Great Treasure Hunters But By No Means Mages
Sylph Labyrinth is the strongest non-magical guild in the whole of Fiore. The guild specializes in finding treasure and even won the Grand Secret Treasure Games, the equivalent of theGrand Magical Games.
Members of the guild can’t use magic, but are excellent weapon users. It has been said that they can beat an average guild. That said, it would seem that in the arena of true magicians with power, they would not be able to handle such a fight due to their lack of magic.
3Southern Wolves
Morally Ambiguous, And Underestimate Mages Too Much
The Southern Wolves guild is one of the non-magical guilds that exist in the kingdom of Fiore. They are mostly martial artists who also use magic-countering technology to fight against their opponents. They have only two known members, a pair of brothers.
While they are strong in their own right, they are incapable of handling strong guilds and like to underestimate mages. They are also willing to take on all sorts of jobs, whether for good or evil purposes, as long as the price is right.
2Cait Shelter
They Never Really Existed Anyway
The Cait Shelter guild was created for the sole purpose of raisingWendy Marvell and Carla. The guild came about after the creator, Roubaul (who is actually a spirit) created multiple illusions to keep up appearances and trick Wendy into believing she was a member of a real guild.
After an adventure withthe Fairy Tail guild, the truth about Cait Shelter and Nirvana, the mysterious magic that Roubaul created, was revealed. The great magic, which Roubaul had meant to protect his tribe, ended up destroying it. Cait Shelter is a weak guild due to its lack of members, especially considering Wendy and Carla left to join Fairy Tail.
1Fairy Tail (Edolas)
The Edolas Version Of The Strongest Guild Has No Powers
When the members of Fairy Tail ended up in Edolas, they met with members of a Fairy Tail guild who looked exactly like them, but with different personalities. Thehistory of the Edolasin Fairy Tail is tragic. Most of its members are dead due to being hunted by the Royal Army, who are bent on stamping out all guilds.
While the Fairy Tail team in Edolas is resourceful, they are ultimately without magic. Therefore, in terms of powers and abilities, they would be unable to hold their own against regular guilds in Fiore.
