When asked about the currency, Hall revealed that it will be used to access a “special store” with “more interesting pieces” of gear for players to acquire. TheFar Cryseries contains a lot of insanity, and it stands to reason that the items contained in this “secret shop” are going to be just what gamers need to unleash their power fantasy fury.Far Cry 6already has a substantial post-launch roadmap that features weekly updates, 6 new special operations missions, and even some content featuring actor Danny Trejo. All of these plans and promises and whispers of secret shops point to a large focus onFar Cry 6’s ability to keep players engaged long after the credits roll. There even appears to be plans to incorporatevillains from pastFar Crygames in DLCthat will be released through March 2022. Ubisoft is clearly making an effort to make this entry in the series one to remember.
Far Cry 6is pushing the envelope, not only in its apparently darker tone, but also in its approach to keeping the game alive. With all of the content revealed thus far,Far Cry 6is going to have an endgame that puts all of the past entries from the series to shame. One of the most prevalent criticisms of the series has been that once the credits hit, there is simply nothing left to do. Ubisoft has clearly heard the criticisms and is planning to give gamers something absolutely massive.
Far Cry 6is set to release on October 7th for Luna, PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
