Mounts inFinal Fantasy 14are one of many fan-favorite customization options for showing off both their sense of style and flexing their proudest accomplishments to passers-by.

With Mounts being rewarded for participating in all sorts of activities, including defeating difficult raid bosses, completing torturous grinds, or obtaining rare achievements, players are able to focus on their favorite types of content and be rewarded with a flashy way to broadcast their progress. The Ufiti mount, a menacing gorilla carrying players in one hand, is no exception to this rule, being offered as a reward for crafter and gatherer enthusiasts.

How To Get the Ufiti Mount in FF14

The Ufiti mount can be purchased for8,400 Skybuilders' Scripsfrom the NPCEnielocated in The Firmament atcoordinates X:12, Y: 14. The required Skybuilders' Scrips are a currency only rewarded to crafters and gatherers who participate in the Ishgard Restoration, a system where players can submit special items they’ve crafted and gathered in exchange for experience, Skyward Score points used to progress certain Ishgard Restoration achievements, and the aforementioned Skybuilders' Scrips.

Unlocking the Ishgard Restoration

In order to unlock the Ishgard Restoration, players must first have completed the level 60 Main Scenario Quest “Litany of Peace”. Upon completion, the follow-up quest “Towards the Firmament” will be made available from a Recruitment Notice NPC in Foundation at coordinates X:10, Y:12. Once finished, players will be able to access The Firmament, a zone dedicated to all aspects of the Ishgard Restoration.

How To Get Skybuilders' Scrips

Skybuilders' Scrips are a currency specific to the Ishgard Restoration, rewarded for gathering and appraising Skybuilders' crafting materials obtained in the Diadem, or for crafting and submitting Skybuilders' items to the NPC Potkin in the Firmament at coordinates X:12, Y:15.

While Skybuilders' Scrips are rewarded at all levels, the fastest way to obtain them is to focus solely on crafting and submitting level 80 items, as they reward the largest amount of Skybuilders' Scrips while consuming the same number of crafting materials. Expert Recipes, indicated by their green item name and icon, should also be avoided when prioritizing only Skybuilders' Scrips, since their increased difficulty and scarcer crafting materials can make the crafting process take significantly longe. However, players looking to multitask and obtain Skyward Score at the same time as Skybuilders' Scrips may find Expert Recipes an attractive alternative.

In order to craft Skybuilders' items for submission, players will need to obtain Skybuilders' crafting materials available only in the Diadem, a special zone dedicated to gatherers that can be entered by speaking to the NPC Aurvael in the Firmament at coordinates X:11, Y:14. Any materials gathered from the Diadem must first be appraised before they can be used for crafting, done by speaking to the NPC Flotpassant also located in the Firmament at coordinates X:11, Y:14. Those looking to skip the gathering process will be able to purchase appraised Skybuilders' crafting materials from other players via the market boards, however, the crafting process must be completed by the players themselves.

Alternate Methods To Get the Ufiti Mount

Players averse to crafting and gathering will be happy to hear that they are able to bypass the Ishgard Restoration grind in a few different ways. The first method is to simply purchase the Ufiti Horn from other players via the market boards, using Gil in place of Skybuilders' Scrips. The second method is to take advantage of the Moogle Treasure Trove, limited-time events that reward players with tomestones when completing challenges and specially marked dungeons and raids. While the Ufiti Horn isn’t available in all iterations of the Moogle Treasure Trove, it saw appearances in the Summer 2022 event, and again in Summer 2024.
