As such, it’s probably not surprising to hear the news that five newSonic the HedgehogLEGO sets are inbound, especially with the franchise finding a renewed life over the past year, spawning the Netflix showSonic Prime, as well as new video games, and theSonic the Hedgehog 2movie among others. Promobricks, a LEGO blog known to report news and leaks surrounding LEGO sets, has shared that five different sets will be available over the course of next year.
TheseSonic the HedgehogLEGO sets will have varying price points between $29.99 and $99.99. While no further information is known regarding the content and release date of the aforementioned sets, the expectation is that they will be available by LEGO’s Summer 2023 release, roughly around August of that year.
Sonic Team’s Takashi Iizuka recently stated that “We already announced additional content forSonic Frontiers, but there is a lot more outside of that, so please look forward to it.” It seems that SEGA could be trying to keep the momentum going for the blue blur, especially with how favorable this past year was for theSonicbrand. With merchandise such as the recently releasedSonic the HedgehogSquishmallows also dropping soon, as well as an early announcement of theSonic FrontiersDLC Roadmap for 2023, Sonic may be pushing out more brand-related releases soon.
Also, this isn’tSonic the Hedgehog’s first exposure to LEGO. Fans may be quick to remember thatSonic the Hedgehog first appeared in LEGO form in the videogameLEGO Dimensions. That game saw physical LEGO figures placed onto a physical portal where they would then be usable in-game. Earlier this year, fans also had our taste of the very firstSonic the HedgehogLEGO sets which released on July 21, 2025.
Nevertheless, these new sets are a welcome addition to Sonic’s legacy and will surely be well-sought after collectibles for fans and non-fans alike. Perhaps this will eventually open up a new doorway for a LEGOSonic The Hedgehogvideogame, but for now, fans should stay glued to the most recent game release asSonic Frontiershas multiple DLC incoming in 2023.
Sonic Frontiersis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
