This means that in combat, the pistol will not only be used to attack, but also to dodge and maybe even put distance between Nor and the enemy to utilize it at its desired range.

With the gameplay trailer showcasing the two ways pistols can be used in combat, fans have been wondering if the dodging mechanic will apply to open-world traversal. As with mostopen-world games, gamers are expecting there to be certain puzzle elements that would require them to maneuver their way through obstacles and reach a location that seems impossible to reach on foot. InFlintlock, this could be achieved by using the pistol’s ability to give Nor more airtime, allowing her to reach places that may seem too high for a simple jump.
Enki, Nor’s adorable companion, will prove to be instrumental when traversing the world thanks to his magical abilities that have been shown throughout the footage of the game.
