Every few weeks,Genshin Impacthas a new set of banners available, offering players the chance to pull new characters they don’t already have, level up ones they do, or add brand new faces to their team that have just been introduced. The banner system works the same as many gacha games, requiring wishes, known as Intertwined Fates (on the event banners) and Acquaint Fates (on the Standard Banner), to pull for characters and weapons. The wish mechanic is central to the game, and which banners are currently active will influence the game for that period of time.

This guide will showcase the currentGenshin Impactbanners, including all of our guides to the current characters. Additionally, we’ll offer a preview of upcomingGenshin Impactbanners. Following that, you’ll find all of our guides for the Standard Banner’s characters and a list of all past banners that have been featured over the years.

Upcoming Banner(s)

Version 5.8 heavily features Natlan five-stars on its banners, with Citlali getting a rerun in the first half (Cryo catalyst) and Ineffa, who is a quasi-Natlan character, making her debut (Electro polearm). The four-stars alongside them are Fischl (Electro bow), Sethos (Electro bow), and Xingqiu (Hydro sword). The second half of the patch will see Chasca (Anemo bow) and Mualani (Hydro catalyst) reruns.

After that, Nod-Krai will be released! We’ll have all the info on the first characters from the new region as soon as they’re officially announced.

Five-star Characters: Ineffa and Citlali

Here, you can find guides to the current event five-stars, including all of their ascension materials, recommended builds and weapons, ideas for the best units to pair them with on a team, a guide to their constellations, and common mistakes people make when playing as them.

Four-star Characters: Fischl, Sethos, and Xingqiu

Like the above section, this section will link you to the ascension materials, recommended builds, weapons, and team compositions, constellation guides, and common mistakes for the current rate-up four-star characters.

Upcoming Genshin Impact Banners

After the first phase of Versoin 5.8 ends, the new banner cycle will see reruns for Chasca and Mualani. After that, Nod-Krai releases, so we’ll see some new characters! Which ones will run first hasn’t been announced officially yet, but we’ll post them here when they are.

Wanderlust Invocation: Genshin Impact Standard Banner

The Standard Banner is home to a few five-stars that can always be obtained, either through this permanently-available banner or from event banners. For more information on how to obtain Standard Banner five-stars on event banners, as well as how the pity system and the 50/50 system work, click here.

The five-stars that are permanently available areJean(Anemo sword),Diluc(Pyro claymore),Mona(Hydro catalyst),Qiqi(Cryo sword),Keqing(Electro sword),Dehya(Pyro claymore),Tighnari(Dendro bow), and Mizuki (Anemo catalyst).

All Past Banners in Genshin Impact

The past banners that have run inGenshin Impactare listed here. For the first couple of years, only one event banner would be featured at a time. Starting in Version 2.3, the game will (typically) feature two event banners simultaneously. The two-banner system will feature two different five-star characters, but they will share four-star rate-up characters.

This list will also outline which characters are new on each banner, how many times a five-star has been rerun, and which four-stars were featured.
