A newGenshin Impactleak has revealed more information about Charlotte’s power on the battlefield. This character has made her appearance in the ongoing version 3.7 which introduced only one new playable Dendro sword user character.

The current version ofGenshin Impactand the upcoming 3.8 is by many considered filler updates whose main job is to build up hype for the next major region of Fontaine. The release of a new major region is the main annual event in the world of Genshin Impact since it introduces tons of new content including new explorable terrain, playable characters, events, and many more. According to a recent teaser video, Fontaine will also introduce a new in-game mechanic that will allow players to dive deep underwater.

The ongoingGenshin Impactupdate 3.7has revealed the first character from Fontaine that is expected to join the playable roster once the Hydro nation arrives. She is introduced as an energetic journalist from Fontaine that writes for a newspaper named Steambird. Travelers' first encounter with Charlotte is in the city of Mondstadt, and she revealed that her newspaper sent her to cover the King of Invokation Grand Prix TCG tournament which is the main event of the update. A new post on theGenshin ImpactLeaks subreddit has given more information about Charlotte’s power on the field and her role within certain team compositions. When it comes to her rarity, the leak has revealed that she will have a lower four-star rarity.

She will be a weaker version of the recently introduced Dendro user Baizhu who is known for his supportive abilities. The fact that the leak compares Charlotte to Baizhu means that she will probably also be asupport character inGenshin Impact, however, the leaker did not specify if she will provide heals or shields.

Even though she was previously rumored to be a new Anemo character, her in-game model revealed that she carries the Cryo Vision. There is still no credible information about her exact release, but players can expect her to arrive inthe first couple of Fontaine updates.

Recent rumors have revealed thatGenshin Impactupdate 4.0 could introduce three new characterswhich makes sense considering that the two previous major updates also added the same number of characters. Two of these new characters are expected to be Lyney and Lynette who have been rumored since their appearance on one ofGenshin Impact’s first story teasers back in 2020.

Genshin Impactis available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, and a Switch port is also in development.
