Genshin Impacthas already revealed the three new characters that will arrive in the first Sumeru update. Tighnari, Collei, and Dori will be spread between two limited character banners inGenshin ImpactVersion 3.0.
Although the characters are yet to arrive to the game, recent leaks have already revealed more information about characters that should join the playable roster in 3.1. A newGenshin Impactleak has revealed more information about one of the upcoming characters named Cyno.

He has been rumored numerous times over the last couple of months due to his appearance in the game’s official manga. Cyno is a popular scholar from Sumeru who has helped Collei seal her Archon Residue. One of therecentGenshin ImpactSumeru trailershas confirmed that Cyno will have an Electro Vision. One of the most credibleGenshin Impactleakers named hxg_diluc has apparently revealed more information about Cyno’s skills:
Another popular leaker named SaveYourPrimos has confirmed that Cyno will be anew DPS character inGenshin Impact. The low cooldown on his Elemental Skill will allow him to constantly reposition himself and apply Electro damage in the process. Multiple replies in the comment section claim that Cyno seems to have a similar play style to the popular Anemo Yaksha, Xiao.
His clothes are inspired by traditional outfits worn in Ancient Egypt which is one of the locations and cultures Sumeru is based on. Cyno’s headpiece resembles the head of Anubis also known as the God of the Underworld. Cyno is expected to arrive inGenshin ImpactVersion 3.1, which according to HoYoverse’s usual update schedule should arrive around mid-October.
When it comes to his rarity, Cyno will most likely have a higher five-star rarity due to his importance to the story. He is expected to arrive alongside two additional characters named Nilou and Candace in the same update. Nilou is the second five-star character rumored for Version 3.1, and she will apparently be a new Hydro sword character. According to previous gameplay leaks, Nilou will almost likely be anewGenshin Impactsupport.
Genshin Impactis available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is currently in development.
