Genshin Impacthas revealed another video that gives more information about the brand-new five-star Pyro character Dehya. She arrived with version 3.5 alongside another five-star unit named Cyno who has received his first re-run after being released back in 3.1.
The recent livestream event forGenshin Impactupdate 3.5 has confirmed that Dehya will join the Standard Banner after 3.6 arrives, just like Tighnari did back in 3.1. Even though the new character just arrived, developer HoYoverse has already announced two new roster additions, Baizhu and Kaveh, for update 3.6.

Genshin Impact’s official YouTube channel has revealed another video that breaks down Dehya’s personality and playstyle. She belongs to Sumeru’s Eremites which is a group of dangerous mercenaries that hail from the Sumeru deserts. Even though she’s known as a merciless fighter, Dehya also has a soft side which was revealed in one of thepreviousGenshin Impacttrailersin which she uses all of her savings to help an orphanage in Sumeru. When it comes to her power on the battlefield, Dehya is probably considered an A or S-tier Pyro DPS character whose kit revolves around her Elemental Burst.
Dehya’s burst allows her to enter the Blazing Lioness Statewhich makes her throw away her weapon and switch to hand-to-hand combat for a couple of seconds. During this period, Dehya’s Normal Attacks are infused with Pyro, and they deal AoE damage to nearby enemies. She is one of the rare characters that can increase the movement speed of her teammates with the help of one of her Passive Talents named The Sunlit Way.
Her Elemental Skill creates a Fiery Sanctum field effect that deals coordinated damage whenever an enemy is hit. While she seems like a decent five-star character, many fans claim that they will skip her banner considering that she willarrive on the Standard Banner after 3.5 ends. This also means that it will be much harder to acquire her constellation in the future as she probably won’t be placed on a Limited Character Banner again.
Recent leaks have revealed thatDehya will receive her own artifact set inGenshin Impactupdate 3.6. A new set named Brilliance of Dew will increase the damage of the holder’s Elemental Skill and Burst whenever they receive damage. This buff gets much stronger if the character is not deployed on the field and Dehya is one of the few characters that can take damage even when she gets swapped out thanks to her Molten Inferno.
Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
