In a post on Ubisoft’s official Ghost Recon forums, a community manager announced that Title Update 1.1.0 forGhost Recon: Breakpointwill be delayed until “the latter half of January.”

Update 1.1.0 was originally supposed to go live on August 06, 2025. In addition to the Terminator Live Event, it was intended to fix a fewaudio and gameplay issues—such as making sure enemies don’t shout when killed with a headshot—as well as tweak enemy AI, basejump mechanics, and night vision goggles. Additional unannounced fixes were planned as well.

The live event was originallyannounced at E3 2019as a free update for the game. At the time, little information was given other than a pair of glowing red eyes onscreen and a second or two of composer Brad Fiedel’s iconic theme song, but the message was clear. A time-traveling cyborg was scheduled to make an appearance inGhost Recon: Breakpointat some point in the future.

Anentire story archas been created for the Terminator Live Event to explain the appearance of the T-800 and his goal of exterminating all life in the area. The game takes place on the island of Auroa, where a drone development tech company has fallen under the control of a hostile force known as the Wolves. So that could serve as a possible explanation for the T-800’s visit.

Even if players missBreakpoint’sTerminator Live Event when it’s released in January, they will still be able to participate in the event’s main story missions and earn the associated mission rewards. However, rewards specific to the event can only be earned while the event is live.

To coincide with the release of the filmTerminator: Dark Fatein November, the relentless Terminator cyborg visited a few other video game franchises. In October, a few characters from the movie, including a T-800 and a Rev-9 Terminator, made a cameo inGears 5, and a T-800 appeared to show off his fighting prowess inMortal Kombat 11.
