Godfallrecently released its ultimate edition on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and PC. The new edition contains all the most recent updates, including all currently released DLC for the game.Godfallis an actionRPGthat allows players to don one of several magical armors with a range of different abilities and take on multiple different realms in epic combat and hack and slash excitement.
While there arenumerous Valorplates to choose from, there is a small group of them which, when paired with the right builds, rise high above the rest. Their abilities turn monsters into dust and make bosses melt in mere seconds. While the game has changed since its release, the high-ranking Valor plates still remain the same.

5Greyhawk
Greyhawk is one of the starter Valorplates in the game, alongside Phoenix and Silvermane. Its design is inspired by the eagle zodiac, showing an eagle’s head on its shoulder and a more feathered appearance. Greyhawk specializes in multi-hit combos for soul shatter build-up. The soul shatter effect builds up over time as the enemy is hit and makes them vulnerable toa special attackthat can inflict heavy damage.

Greyhawk provides a ten percent soul-shatter effect build up with every strike. Its archon effect emits a shockwave that inflicts a large amount of soul-shatter to enemies, making them all vulnerable to special attacks while at the same time duplicating the effect whenever an enemy is defeated by a special soul shatter attack.
4Armistice
Armistice stands out among other valor plates because it can utilize thebreach mechanicmore frequently, allowing it to dish out heavy damage and crowd control. Breaching an enemy requires filling up a bar under enemy health, and once filled, it will stun them and leave them open to be taken down if their health is low enough. The Armistice design is a horned, almost earthly theme that features burning red runes.

Armistice grants a twenty percent damage breach boost, which helps players fill up enemies breach bar faster. This Valorplate’s archon ability instantly breaches all nearby enemies, stunning them and boosting breach damage, damage to breached enemies, and takedown damage by one-hundred percent around the board. In addition, it boosts base damage by fifty percent for every enemy defeated with a takedown. Utilizing large AOE attacks with hammers and swords will be best suited for Armistice while taking on endgame content.
3Mesa
Mesa is a ram-themed Valorplate that bears coiled horns and a more feminine attributes compared to other armors. Mesa specializes in ailment distribution which applies negative effects to enemies such as poison, making it a great support Valorplate. Mesa is a good Valorplate that gets in, does some damage, and gets out before overstaying its welcome. Its base ability provides a ten percent chance to inflict poison on enemies, which stacks with weapons and glyphs that also inflict poison.

Mesa’s archon ability is a shockwave that deals heavy earth damage to nearby enemies, while at the same time boosting damage to poisoned enemies by one hundred percent. In addition, chance to inflict poison is raised by fifty percent, and all attacks deal earth damage. Mesa is a strong armor that can chew through tanky enemies' defenses and shred life bars apart in seconds.
2Aeigishorn
Aegishorn is the top dog when it comes to survivability and damage in Godfall’s endgame. Paired with the right build and stats, this Valorplate can crush enemy health bars in one shot and survive anything thrown its way. Aegishorn is thetank of the gameand its design dawns aquatic details with a “from the depths” theme. A scale-like appearance along with two tentacles on its back gives the armor a very sea monster feel.

Aegishorn is a Tank/Support Valorplate, providing a series of abilities that specialize in taking less damage. The base ability ensures that the player takes five percent less damage from all sources. Paired with its Archon ability, this buffs allies to take thirty percent less damage. When Aeigishorn takes damage, the armor shoots out three projectiles to damage attackers. This Valorplate is perfect for climbing the floors of the tower, able to carry a team and keep them alive.
1Hinterclaw
Hinterclaw serves as one of the most damaging Valorplates in the game and is the design for the main antagonist: Macros, the mad god. The design of Hinterclaw is inspired by the wolf zodiac and bares wolf-like attributes, along with fur trimming and a wolf’s helm. Hinterclaw specializes in dishing out huge amounts of damage, specifically focusing on critical chance and critical damage amounts.
Hinterclaw’s base ability is a five percent boost to critical chance, which complements the armor’s archon fury ability. This ability allows the user to summon three warriors to aid in battle, while boosting critical chance by thirty percent and critical hit damage by fifteen percent. These bonuses double after defeating an enemy. Enemies won’t stand a chance when theirhealth bar hits zero before they even make a move.
