In 2007, Valve releasedHalf-Life 2: Episode Two, and since then fans have been waiting for the promisedEpisode Three, or preferably, a full-fledgedHalf-Life 3. But it’s been over a decade since the release ofHalf-Life 2: Episode Two, to the point that the lack ofHalf-Life 3has become a meme. Valve still hasn’t revealed any plans forHalf-Life 3, but the company has at least finally announced a newHalf-Lifegame in the form of the virtual reality titleHalf-Life: Alyx.

Half-Life: Alyxwas leaked a few days ago, but Valve didn’t waste anytime confirming its existence. Since then, moreHalf-Life: Alyxdetails have come out, revealing that the game is aprequel toHalf-Life 2, set between it and the events of the first time. As the title suggests, players will take on the role of Alyx Vance, who was Gordon Freeman’s companion throughout much ofHalf-Life 2’s story. But now a new trailer has revealed even more details about the game, giving fans their first look at gameplay in the process.
