Helldivers 2is a cooperative third-person shooter developed by Arrowhead Game Studios. Players work together to protect Super Earth from various alien threats, navigating diverse environments and facing challenging enemies. Since its release,Helldivers 2has seen regular updates, including increased level caps, new environmental hazards, and rebalanced gameplay elements to enhance the player experience.
The Viper Commandos Warbond set,releasing June 13, includes a new versionof theHelldivers 2’s Liberator: the AR-23A Liberator Carbine. This modified, shortened version of the classic weapon offers higher recoil but faster handling, ideal for close-quarters combat. Players can also equip the new SG-22 Bushwhacker, a triple-barrel, sawed-off shotgun with two firing modes, including one that discharges all three barrels simultaneously. Notably, the Bushwhacker is a secondary weapon, allowing players to combine it with their favorite primary weapon for versatile loadouts.
In addition, the Warbond’s armor sets include the PH-9 Predator armor, inspired by a Viper Commando. The PH-202 Twigsnapper offers a rugged look perfect for jungle operations and complements the Executioner’s Canopy cape. Both armor sets feature the Peak Physique passive, boostingHelldivers 2’s melee weapon damageand handling, while also providing bare arms. Moreover, new victory poses have been added as well.
The Viper Commandos Warbond also includes new skins for hellpods, Exosuits, and Pelican-1, inspired by classic woodland and tiger stripe camouflage patterns. These additions enhance the customization of squads, providing a cohesive look for jungle missions. Players can also look forward to a new utility item: the throwing knife, perfect for quick, silent kills when ammo runs low. Additionally, the Warbond introduces the Experimental Infusion booster, which enhances stims with increased movement speed and damage reduction effects. Other new items include capes, player cards, and emotes.
Based on player feedback, Arrowhead Game Studios is adjusting the release schedule of Warbonds to prioritize meticulous polishing before each launch. Additionally, they are restructuring the contents of each Warbond, placing greater emphasis on high-quality armor and weapons rather than sheer quantity.
