InHogwarts Legacy, it is possible to find a tome known asSecrets of the Darkest Art. While reading this tome is impossible, its presence in the game is pretty fascinating, considering the pivotal role it plays later in the series. Knowing it exists in the game is interesting, but finding it can be a little challenging.

Players who are unaware of the significance of Secrets of the Darkest Art will likely not think much of the tome if they come across it naturally, but it is arguably one of the most important books in the entireHarry Potterseries. Written by Owle Bullock, the text is said to describe the Dark Arts in great detail and even explains how a witch or wizard can create Horcruxes.

It was because of Secrets of the Darkest Art that Tom Riddle was able to separate his soul into seven pieces and transfer each piece into various objects, making him partially immortal. The fact that this tome can be found simply resting in Hogwarts Castle seems somewhat dangerous, but it’s certain to excite knowledgeable fans of the series when it is found.
The Secrets Of The Darkest Art Book Location In Hogwarts Legacy
While exploring the world ofHogwarts Legacy, it is possible to happen upon a variety of unique secrets and Easter eggs. The castle itself is bursting with fascinating secrets that can easily go unnoticed if the player isn’t paying attention, but it’s hard to miss the Secrets of the Darkest Art tome while playing through theSecrets of the Restricted Sectionmain quest.
During this quest, the protagonist will pass by the Secrets of the Darkest Art book while exploring the Restricted Section, and even Sebastian will comment on its significance.
For those who didn’t realize how important this text was during the main quest, they can easily find it againby fast-travelingto theLibraryinThe Library Annexand proceeding throughthe gate on the northern side of the room. From there, the player should continue down the stairs ahead, turn left, and proceed through the room with the bookcases scattered around.
Continuing down the stairs at the end of this room, the player willfind the Secrets of the Darkest Art bookimmediately upon entering into the new room on the bookshelf just left of the door. The Secrets of the Darkest Art book will shake if the player approaches it, making it pretty hard to miss it.
