While you’re exploring the Pale Heart inDestiny 2,you may come across some interesting secrets that require you to have certain items in your inventory. This is well and truly the case when it comes to hunting for extra fragments for your Prismatic subclass. Memory: Refractions of Light item is one such item, and you’ll need it to unlock a hidden chest somewhere between the Landing and the Blooming.
If you’re looking to collectall Prismatic Fragments inDestiny 2, then collecting Memory: Refractions of Light should be on your to-do list. Here’s a quick guide covering where to get it, the location of the chest tied to it, and some important info that might affect your overall farming experience.
Where To Find Memory: Refractions Of Light In Destiny 2
To prevent any bugs or glitches from souring your experience while farming, make sure to have enough space in your resource/consumables inventory. If your inventory is full, you may not receive any drops related to Memory Vestiges.
To get this item, players need to collect blue items calledMemory Vestige: Light. These drop from enemies in the Cyst missions inside the Pale Heart. But first, you need tofinishDestiny 2: The Final Shape’scampaign, talk to Micah at the Lost City, and finish her Alone in the Dark quests to unlock Cyst missions.
Memory vestiges drop only from glowing enemies inside Cyst missions. Take them out, then if the vestige doesn’t automatically get added to your inventory, try to see if the slain enemy dropped anything. Once you collect five Memory Vestiges, they’ll automatically be converted into a purple Memory, which can either be Refractions, Blooming, or Seclusions of Light. If vestiges aren’t dropping for you, try doing whichever Cyst is featured on the daily rotation.
What To Do With Memory: Refractions Of Light In Destiny 2
After getting Memory: Refractions of Light, you’ll want to visit The Refraction, a sub-area in the Pale Heart connecting the Landing to the Blooming. To get here from the Landing spawn point, enter the cave network in the east leading to the area where youfind the Facet of Justice inDestiny 2. Drop down the hole, then cross the chasm with the Shriekers. You’ll soon find a large tree near the end of the area.
Climb the tree, and on the top branches, you’ll see a Prismatic Chest. With Memory: Refractions of Light in your inventory, you should be able to open it and collect the Facet of Awakening, which lets you spawn elemental pickups whenever you rapidly defeat enemies with Light, Dark, or Super damage. The type of elemental pickup you get depends on what type of damage deals the final blow. It also provides +10 Resilience.
