If players are unhappy with how they’ve built their character or simply want to try out a new build, obtaining and using a Shark Egg is the only way to revert their decisions. The first couple of Shark Eggs are easy to find, but the rest will be hidden away in hard-to-reach places or protected by powerful monsters. On top of that, players will need to figure outhowto use any Shark Eggs they do manage to find. Here’s the breakdown.

How to Get Shark Eggs in Another Crab’s Treasure

Shark Eggs can be found asglowing pickupsin the overworld. They’re typically extremely well hidden and require thorough exploration to find. The easiest Shark Eggs to obtain are sold at thePrawn Shopin the Lower Crust of New Carcinia for2000 Microplastics. There are only two in stock, and they won’t respawn. The Prawn Shop will unlock automatically as you progress through the main story.

Shark Eggs are consumable, one-time-use items that allow players torespec stats, skills, andAdaptations. One Shark Egg can only be used to respec one thing. This means that if a player wants to respec their skill allocation, they’ll need to use one Shark Egg. If they want to respec their stats too, they’ll need another one, and the same goes for Adaptations.

How to Respec Skills Using Shark Eggs

To respec skills, talk to theMoon Snailin the Moon Snail’s Domain and select ‘Refund Skills.’ A pop-up will show the amount of Umami crystals that will be refunded.

Players will find the Moon Snail during the course of the main story (where you unlock Umami abilities). The Moon Snail’s Domainfast travel pointwill always be accessible under Important Locations through the Shelleport feature.

How to Respec Stats Using Shark Eggs

Players can respec all level up stats using a Shark Egg in Another Crab’s Treasure. To do so, interact with a Moon Snail, select the level up option (any Moon Snail will do), and click on therecycle icon next to Confirm(pictured above).

Clicking on this icon will revert stats to zero, and players will be able to reallocate points however they want to.

Note that the Microplastics that went into leveling up Kril will not be refunded. The stats respec option only becomes available after players find the first piece of the treasure map during the course of the main story. Before that, there won’t be a recycle icon next to Confirm.

How to Respec Adaptations Using Shark Eggs

To respec Adaptations, players will need to first defeatGrovekeeper Topodain the Expired Grove. After he’s beaten, the Grovekeeper will move to Topada’s Garden permanently. Here, players can enlist his help to respec all their Adaptations back to level one in exchange for one Shark Egg. All crystals that went into upgrading those Adaptations will also be refunded to the player.
