How to Start the Echoes of the Fallen DLC in Final Fantasy 16

In order to start the Echoes of the Fallen DLC, players will need tospeak with Charon and select the Echoes of the Fallen dialog option. For those unaware, Charon can be found standing behind the counter at Charon’s Toll, which is inthe central area of Cid’s Hideaway. However, players will only see the aforementioned dialog option after reaching a certain point in the story and meeting a few requirements.

Before being able to start the Echoes of the Fallen DLC, players will first need to progress through the main story until theyunlock Origin on the world mapand thencomplete the “Where There’s a Will” and “Priceless” side quests. These focus on Joshua and Jill respectively and will lead to the pair joining Clive’s party permanently upon their completion, which will be important when starting theFF16DLC a little later on.

Players may also want to level Clive up a little, as most of the enemies they’ll be facing in Echoes of the Fallen are around level 50. Thankfully, most players will already be approaching theFinal Fantasy 16level capby the time they unlock the DLC, as they won’t gain access to Origin until near the very end of the game’s main story. Enemies are significantly stronger when playing on Final Fantasy mode, though again, players shouldn’t be too far behind by the time they’ve met the Echoes of the Fallen unlock requirements.
