In a Twitter post released by Infinity Ward earlier, the studio revealed that it has now issued over 70,000 bans worldwide to ridCall of Duty: Warzoneof cheaters. The tweet is likely in response to the growing complaints from players on the PC who noticed a large number of aimbotters in the battle royale game. Although complaints are coming from PC players ofWarzone, console players are also affected given thatWarzonesupports cross-play functionality. Additionally, Infinity Ward ended its statement with a firm warning to cheaters, “We are watching. We have zero-tolerance for cheaters.”

As of the moment, it appears thatCall of Duty: Warzonestill doesn’t have any anti-cheating feature that allows players to easily report any suspicious activity in-game. For now, cheating reports are manually reviewed and investigated byInfinity Ward, and players can report other users who they suspect to be cheating in the game by searching through their recent player list and flagging the cheater for Infinity Ward to investigate.

Although 70,000 bans appear to be a big number, it is worth pointing out thatInfinity Ward has previously banned over 50,000 cheatersseveral weeks ago. While these numbers may appear high, they may not completely eradicate cheating in the game, but thankfully, Infinity Ward is taking the necessary actions to ensure thatCall of Duty: Warzonehas a safe and fair playing space.

Meanwhile, Infinity Ward is continuously releasing weekly updates toCall of Duty: Warzonethat sometimes adds new content or new playlists for players to try out. Players can expect a new battle royale mode that is scheduled to release inCall of Duty: Warzonetoday calledScopes and Scatter Guns. As the name implies, the new game mode will only provide players with shotguns and snipers on the battle royale map, as opposed to the wide variety of weapons that are available in the standard game mode. As of the moment, Scopes and Scatter Guns will only be available for Trios.
