Today, the studio announced that it will be partnering withDaedalic Entertainmentto bring the game to PC players in the latter half of 2021, with console ports also in the works.
In a hands-off presentation attended by Game Rant,Inkulinati’sdeveloper provided further details about what makes the tactical game so unique, highlighting its comedy-focused turn-based combat,hand-drawn aesthetic, and more. The footage showed that Yaza Games is working on a very different strategy experience, but one that’s sure to provide a winning combination of gratifying gameplay and tongue-in-cheek humor.

For those who haven’t been introduced toInkulinatiyet, the premise is simple. Players take control of one of various “Inklunati Masters” and must create units using ink to win each battle. Each unit comes with an array of different powers and abilities, ranging from powerful archers and fire-breathingdragonsto aggressive minotaurs and crafty rabbits, the latter of which can use their butts to stun enemies. To win the game, one Inklunati Master must vanquish the other, using the battlefield to their advantage.
During the footage shown in the presentation, it was clear that there’s a lot of ways to accomplishInkulinati’scentral goal. From showering the opposition in a barrage of arrows to setting the battlefield alight, thestrategy gamewelcomes creativity from its combatants, who can use empty spaces for several smart tactical plays. One section of the presentation even showed that shoving enemies is a viable way of ending conflicts early, as units can corner Inklunati Masters and send them hurtling off the side of the map for an easy win. On top of that, players are able to directly affect the battlefield themselves, using “Inklunati hand actions” to bash large numbers of foes or heal their units.
If there’s one thing the footage emphasized, it’s thatInklunatiwelcomes thinking outside the box, meaning if players are being dominated by an opponent, they can still use the situation to their advantage to get their hand raised. The game looks to be filled with larger-than-life comedy, tense tactical gameplay, and a wholly unique aesthetic, giving it all the tools to become a significant success when it hits Steam later this year. It will be an asset to Daedalic Entertainment’s stacked lineup, which contains the likes ofFling to the Finish,Hidden Deep, andGlitchpunk.
Inklunatiis coming to PC later this year, with console ports also planned.
