Summary
Jujutsu Kaisenrecently confirmed the return of Aoi Todo and fans have been incredibly excited to see how he’s going to affect the incredible battle against the King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna. Of course, by this point, it is clear to all the readers that JJK is in its ending phase, which means that Todo being one of the final players gives him a massive role to play.
That said, Todo actually played yet another essential role in this arc long ago that the fans weren’t aware of at the time. It has now been confirmed that Todo, thanks to his incredible cursed technique, was able to aid in the killing of Kenjaku, the other antagonist of the series, and the man who was responsiblefor the Culling Gamein the first place.

Aoi Todo’s Return
Aoi Todo Arrived Just In Time To Save The Sorcerers
In Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 259, Sukuna unleashed the power of his Divine Flame to eradicate just about everything within his domain. Essentially, every single living being inside Sukuna’s domain should have died. Sukuna believed that he had enough firepower to get rid of all of them. However, things did not go according to plan for him. Firstly, fans saw Choso sacrificing his body to shield his brother, Yuji Itadori. He used his powers to create a barrier of blood around his brother, and then tried his best to maintain this power from the outside. This led to Choso being charred to death and Yuji surviving. Meanwhile, all the others that were inside the domain were somehow transported out. While Yuji believed that they were vaporized, it was soon made clear by a mysterious figure who appeared in front of him that they were safe.
The sound of gion shoja bells echoes the impermanence of all things. The color of sala flowers reveals the truth that the prosperous must decline. However! We are the exception!

This mysterious figure turned out to benone other than Aoi Todo.Todo had returned in the nick of time and used the powers of Boogie Woogie to swap all the sorcerers to outside the domain. Towards the end of the chapter, Todo started to unveil his new prosthetic arm, and at the same time, joined the battle against Sukuna with Yuji. From here onwards, it is going to be an incredibly exciting battle between the two, and JJK chapter 260 is surely going to dive deep into it. With Todo joining the final battle, fans are going to see an exciting combat sequence brew in the next chapter, but at the same time, they might also get more context on how Todo joined the battle in the first place, and what he was doing prior to the beginning of the Shinjuku Showdown.
How Todo Helped Yuta Kill Kenjaku
Todo Was Working With Yuta To Work On His Technique
InJJKchapter 260, it has become incredibly clear that Todo was always planning to join the Culling Game eventually. The very first thing that confirms this is the fact that Todo was present in Gosho Lake Colony, which was mentioned clearly by the narrator inJJKchapter 260. Essentially, Todo was with Yuta, and through some unknown way, the latter helped him work around his cursed technique. It is unknown exactly what the author means by this and how exactly Yuta helped Todo with his Boogie Woogie. However, the implication is that Todo tested his technique in conjunction with Yuta during the mission to eradicate Kenjaku.
With that, fans know for sure that he was in Gosho Lake Colony and, thus, clearly in the Culling Game. This already confirms that Todo was planning to aid the Sorcerers in whichever way he could later down the line and the only reason that he didn’t is that he did not want Yuji knowing about his presence. Yuji knowing could potentially have given this information over to Sukuna, which, as Todo explained in the previous chapter, could’ve been the case since they had shared a single body. to keep his presence a surprise, Todo operated from within the shadows without Yuji actually knowing about him.

Most importantly, Todo actively played a major role in the battle against Kenjaku. After Kenjaku was done fighting against Takaba, fans know that Yuta appeared behind him and sliced his head right off. Kenjaku himself was confused as to how this was possible. Given that Yuta possesses tremendous amounts of cursed energy, he should have noticed him. Kenjaku hypothesized that this was down to the fact that Takaba’s resonance got all his attention. While that is true to a degree, there is more to it than just that. Looking carefully at the SFX surrounding Yuta in the panel where he slices his head off, one can clearly notice that it is the same one that the author uses for Todo’s Boogie Woogie.
Given that Todo has managed to work on his technique in the Gosho Lake colony with the help of Utah, as confirmed in JJK chapter 260, it now explains how Yuta was able to sneak up on Kenjaku, then pop up behind him as he turned, and chop his head off. Essentially, Todo’s range has increased tremendously. He simply used Boogie Woogie from far away and put Yuta in a position where he could simply lop off Kenjaku’s head with ease.
It is also possible that Todo then used the power of Boogie Woogie to help transfer Yuta to the main battlefield in Shinjukuafter Kenjaku’s death as well. This is also a major possibility and one that could explain how he was able to cover a great distance in a short amount of time.
Todo’s Role Vs Sukuna
Todo Has Now Joined The Fight Against Sukuna
Now that it is clear that Todo clearly helped in the battle against Kenjaku, fans can already praise him for his major contribution. Even though he doesn’t possess the strongest of cursed techniques, the way he utilizes this technique is absolutely immense and this makes him a major asset to the sorcerer’s side. At the same time, fans should also keep in mind that Todo is going to be of tremendous help in the battle against Sukuna as well. Even though he does not possess a destructive cursed technique where he couldsimply crush the King of Cursesin more obvious ways, swapping around with Yuji and allowing him to land perfect blows on the King is certainly going to make a massive difference here.
Because Ryomen Sukuna’s domain just ended, It is difficult for him to use cursed technqiues right now!
Fans can rest assured that Todo is going to be pivotal in the story from here onwards and that the best of him is yet to come.JJKkeeps getting better with each passing chapter and fans can only hope that all the remaining characters that are now fighting against Sukuna get a proper conclusion, including the King himself.
Judging by how things have been moving, this battleagainst the King of Cursesis not going to last long now. It is only a matter of time before this fight concludes and, from there onwards, Gege will mark the beginning of the end, because he does plan to wrap up the series later this year.
